Your credit card number and CMV code please

I feel I have been ordering like crazy from online stuff. I get the random catalog in the mail and due to a few events coming up, I started to order stuff for them. We have a Halloween party on the 19th to go to, Kubrick theme; a birthday party on the 20th, I stumbled across a funny T-shirt for that; and a wedding on the 31st. Now I haven't really dished out for that but I found a few things to help make my costume more realistic. I even went so far as making a new idea for the Halloween party on the 19th. I'm gonna go as Spartacus, but I won't be dressed anything like him. I found a cute idea. You know that line "I'm Spartacus!", well, I found a button that says that, so I bought that as a costume. I thought it would be funny. I probably will do a toga for the ambiance of the idea, but still have the pin. That way, when anybody asks what I am suppose to be, I point at my pin. Also, before I had a real job and was working for the scrapes of a paycheck from my college years. I always bought some food for the holiday break, seeing how I would be making any money over that time. The food I bought didn't make me pay til February, which was fine cause then I would have my student loans for the next semester. Well, the catalog came again, this year. I bought a few items. Mostly interesting meat. They were selling Deer, Elk, and Buffalo jerky, so...I just had to find out. Also, some cool fudges flavored like Kahlua and Jim Bean. And I also got the same Ham I got last year. A 7lbs honey glazed ham. Oh my god, was this good. Yeah, I have been ordering way to much. There are just 2 pieces I want to buy, for my costume, left. I'll wait for next pay check. Well, one of the them isn't really for the costume. Ever since my first Ren Faire, I have always wanted a black full length cloak with hood. They usually run about 100 smackers, but damn it I can afford one now so I'm gettin' while the gettin's good.

Soldiering On...

I have noticed that I and only I have been blogging recently. No biggie. Just feels like I'm talking to myself...which is pretty norm (even though I still hold back seeing as how this is a public site).

Anyway, Female Yakuza Tale: Inquisition and Torture. Wasn't as good as Sex & Fury. A little more over-exaggerated acting (like kabuki theater). More of the stuff that I can't stand about the Japanese culture, whining. I hate Japanese whining, especially when grown men do it. Anyway, it was more raunchy. It didn't go 5 mins without booby shots. It is about revenge and using women for drug trafficking. I have noticed that Reiko Ike is where Quentin got his Oshi character for Kill Bill. Female Japanese mob boss. The film ended with a huge battle royal of gangs and every woman involved (30+) was completely nude.

M.A.S.H. season 2 down.

Not as angry since we have little to do. I did find a fun site, though. We had this 'All Staff' meeting a while ago and the theme was state capitals, which led me to think that they were going to ask questions and hand out prizes if you knew the state capitals, so I went digging and found this site.

http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/web_games.htm

If I had this site while growing up...man it has everything for elementary/middle school/high school/college learning. Some of this stuff is beneficial all the way through. I some of this stuff I didn't even know. Anyway, it is oriented for kids, but love doing the games.

Anybody got any bactine?

Today has been the slowest work day in a while. It is so slow today that the Internet is even struggling to make it to the next page. It feels like I'm draggin' ass but the reality is that since my fast I'm so jazzed on energy that I feel I'm moving and blinding/break-neck speeds. There is one thing I could do, which is guaranteed to put me to sleep, and I would do it but I am the only one here, which means I have to stay and answer phones. The other job would require me to go into another part of the office where I can't hear the phones. Also, I'm not really the only one here, it is just that my boss is in meetings all day, my sidekick Robin is out to lunch for a long while, and our admin left because she is feeling sick. So it is all me by my lonesome. I would freak out but this happens often enough that I'm use to it.

Anyway, Female Yakuza Tale is coming today. It is another Pinky Violence film. The last one was great I hope this is one is just as good. However, I have a few errands to run and I'm staying late to make up some time. So we'll see.

I past out early last night. It is weird, I'm not tired but as soon as I sit down to watch M.A.S.H. I pass out. I must be runnin' on overdrive. I'm extending the fast, btw. We'll see how long I can go. This merely because I feel freakin' amazing and I don't want to shift gears by going and getting a burger. Little portions. I have been eating since off the fast, though, but it has been like a hand full of chips and a healthy dip I really wanted to try (hummus, salsa, and black soy beans; spicy and sweet). I found some non-dairy cream cheese (tofuttii), so I had to get some hard salami and make little roles of cream cheese wrapped in salami (old family appetizer from my dad). But that has all I have been eating.

You know, there was this guru in the middle eastern area (unknown) that claimed he had not had a single thing to eat or drink in 60 years. All he did was meditate and feed off the energy of the earth. I saw a small portion of this story. It had these doctors surrounding him and checking his vitals. The guy looked scary dead, but he apparently is in a constant state of trance and deep meditation that he can be interacted with and undisturbed. That was all I heard on the topic. I didn't hear anything on confirmation of his claims or what the doctors discovered, but I know a lot about energy flow and chakra, well, I know a lot about the theory of that stuff. And in theory, it is possible but even in theory it is unbelievable. Anyway, I don't plan to do that, or anywhere near that, just very slowly reintroduce food. See where I go from here.

I didn't get any time to play Haunting Ground yet, I really want to but every time I pick it up I feel like I need to do something else, so I don't play. Oh well...just keep swimmin'.

Disgruntled

I had a hard day at work yesterday. For the first half of the day I was on my own, with the admin, answering phones and dealing with 20+ donor files, ensuring the correct letters get to the correct people. I also had to deal with 3 exception reports and 2 PDI cases. Not to mention being the gopher boy for all people requesting things as if the world would end if they didn’t get now. Anyway, the reason for all that is because the other counselor and the boss were in a phone conference for half the day. Well, I'm still feelin' a little residual frustration from yesterday. So, I didn't answer the phone or talk to many people this morning and just did paperwork, work related and my own. But now I'm caught up from yesterday's drama. Monday's are always the worst. And it mainly because of the weekend. Something happened and someone freaked out, and they couldn't get answers cause no one was here cause it is the weekend. Friday seem hard to but that is just cause everyone wants to hurry home and get all there crap done.

Good news, I'm caught up with my personal paperwork. Semi-good news, I'm half way through season 2 of M.A.S.H.

And now netflix/gamefly. I have been so busy that I haven't had enough time to play Haunting Ground, so we are doing that tonight...maybe. So, ...Quest for Egg Salad...arrived broke again. I am determined to see this film now. Also, Hercules the TV show's movies, was also broke. But Mezzo Forte: DSA season 2 was this time so I finished that. No biggie. Wasn't that great of a series. But, I also had Sex & Fury. Now, I slam a lot of 60/70's stuff. But these "Pinky Violence" flicks are sweet. Only twelve minutes into Sex & Fury, our badass heroine Ocho (Reiko Ike) duels a dozen men in the snow with a samurai sword--stark naked! And it was an awesome fight. It also stars sexy Sweden star Christina Lindburg of Thriller: A Cruel Picture. This is the film where Quentin got his One-Eye girl in Kill Bill. But back to Sex & Fury. The blood was obviously fake. The story is revenge. And all the men ate sleazy and need to die...so they do. By thieving women who happen to pop out of there garments as they fight. Makes sense since that clothing is so loose and bulgy. Anyway, it was a good ol' time. Might go into my collection.

Extinction

I had fun at the movie; however, I am wiling to admit that the film sucked. As a matter of fact, I am more than willing I will even tell you why it sucked.

Resident Evil is a survivor series. Basically how will you get out of situation; how will you survive. The third film answer this in the first 15 mins. We didn't. Which is cool in its own right. However, from the here the movie got intense. Lots of cool scenes, a decent story. But lack of plot. There was a lot of character development that didn't go anywhere. Like, we learn a lot about these characters and then they either die (which is fine) or they all just leave. Nothing about it other than they left.

This was a movie about Milla's character, Alice. This is where we learn all about her, which is fine and dandy but it needed more, it needed to be longer. It felt like this film was either a filler or a very weak and poor ending. Like they didn't want to even do it but decided 'fine'.

Barring this, the film was awesome. It included a lot of what was in the games. Rage zombies, crows, dogs, and even a mutated form from taking to much serum.

But again, the battles were to short, the characters just disappear, you leave with a sense of un-fulfillment, and again they leave it open to another movie...kind of. More like a kick ass ending that we will never see.

I was disappointed in the end result, but I had fun. It is intense and; although the director used to much of the 'cheap thriller' card, it is a little scary.

My friend stated it best. "It is suppose to be a survivor story. Not a horror story, not a thriller story, but a survivor story".

Snail's pace

I expect today to go slow at work. Seeing as how I negotiated to get out early and for the movie Resident Evil, that I am currently hooking my balls up to a DIEHARD just to keep me distracted, which is coming out today. I am going with JoeJoe, maybe. I bought my ticket online. It might be sold out when he wants to buy one. Either way Resident Evil is out today and I won't be missing it.

No Quest for Egg Salad yesterday. So I finished season 1 of M.A.S.H. as well as watched the Res Evil movies. This fast keeps my energy up, which is kind of a bad thing considering how much work there isn't for me to do.

Speaking of silhouettes

I was driving to work, down dodge, and I'm about to drive under the bridge at around 60th, just after UNO, and I see this girl standing on the bridge. Well, the sun was kinda in my eyes and behind her, which made her just a dark, well defined, figure. She was standing with one hand on the railing, facing north, probably talking on her phone, one leg cocked back and balancing on its toes. She was wearing a 'proper' school girl outfit, skirt down past the knees a little bit and a blue-ish top, and she had braided pig-tails and large backpack on the ground.

Now, I may be watching a little to much anime. But she looked just like some main female lead or heroine of some anime. And it got me thinking about anime in general and how most of the characters are kids still in school. Even of the big movies that everyone sees, not just the cartoons animes. Anyway, it got me thinking about their culture and how it seems that the reason kids are portrayed in anime (beside the revered young and beautiful of most societies) is that kids seem to have it the hardest in Asian culture. Not all Asian culture, of course. But it seems to me that it portrays the concept that kids have to do school work (and get good grades for the success of the family) on top of everything else like, chores, relationships, sports, health, and extra classes for stuff not taught in school. When I was teaching, most of the kids came to school at 7am and were in classes (of various schools) til 8pm. And it is no wonder these kids go crazy for games because it is their only outlet that isn't required and isn't pressuring them to do well. I think anime portrays kids as the heroes because it is advertising for kids, sort of. Hear me out. "If these kids in the cartoons can do all their heroic stuff and get good grades, then you can at least get good grades". But not quite as harsh, more like encouragement. Like, "let them save the world, you just do your part and be successful so that their sacrifice has meaning" sort of like. Although this has bled into today's cartoons in America (seeing as how we are showing a lot of anime now), but when I was growing up I had Transformers, He-Man, GI-Joe, Thundercats, Mask, Silverhawks. Cartoons about adults, or young adults. And even comics (the real heroes) portrayed adults; Superman, Batman, Wolverine, Spiderman. Although, most mutants discovered their abilities when they hit puberty it wasn't until after they grow up that we see their story. Interesting, it makes sense, really. Just never REALLY looked into it...all because of an anime girl in real life.

Okay, on to what has occurred since last. So, I get vol2-3 of Mezzo Forte yesterday and guess what; Vol 2 has the same crack as Quest for Egg Salad did. This one didn't break when I bent it, though. It just bent. So, now that there is a speed bump on the disc, I cut in half and mail it back as well as reported it. I'm starting to hope I run into more so I can break them, you know, helping out the man sort of thing. Making sure they don't mail off a bad disc to other customers. Quest for Egg Salad comes today, heh, we'll see. And 2 discs down for M.A.S.H. Almost through the first season.

I forgot that I had bought a ticket to go to a dinner on Sunday, well, dinner/raffle. And right in the middle of my fast. I'm going with my mom and she will be bringing something to take her dinner home in, sounded like a good idea for someone on a fast to do as well. You know, I always wondered if I get looks from people because I am a little off norm. You know, not embarrassed about things I do or don't. Like people think I have no shame or something. Well, I do, it is just not the same as 'societies standard' view of what to be shameful for. I am ashamed of a few things, things I consider dark in my past. Some people know what they are (at that is how it will stay) but I notice that when it comes up, like at a party or a big group conversation (just a topic, not like my stuff personally) the people who know about my shame always shift one eye on to me to see my reaction. And I always catch them lookin'. Sometimes I ignore it. I have a great ability to act like I am a different person and that stuff has never occurred in my life (all those years of people watching, I mime pretty well). And sometimes I'll shift an eye back and give a silent nod or cheers. Everyone who knows me has seen this sort of thing. Especially when you do something in a crowd and I am the only one who saw you or heard you. We give a slight smile to each other. I usually catch that stuff, as you all fully know.

Anyway, I can not tell you how excited I am that it is only one more day 'til Resident Evil: Extinction. At this point, I don't care if it sucks, it is gonna rock my kazba. Feel These Nipples.

::EDIT:: This entry below is in anger and frustration. Just feelin' the moment. Also, this is not caused by one person but by hearing many (and I mean many) stories about it; and most were just this morning::EDIT::

Okay, I decided to post this here instead of in the comments section of someones blog. I am really getting tired of this taser crap in the news. A college student got tasered at a rally, a drunk got tasered in front of his home, taser this, taser that. Who the fuck cares. I am in full support of the use of tasers. There are a lot of fucking idiots who just need to get tased. And I'm sorry, but you get full warning from the police that they will taser your ass. They give you 2-3 warnings. Saying, "Sir/Ma'am, if don't calm down I will taser you". If a cop says he will taser you, he will. Don't test his patience. He is in full right, as long as he gives warning, to taser you. And cops practically have to now in days with all these people resisting arrest. That is why they taser you, they don't want to be injured while escorting you the cruiser. And don't talk to me about how it injures you. It doesn't, tasers cause pain not injury. They cause PAIN. You're fine after you recover. If that isn't a fucking good enough explanation then go to med school and learn the difference between pain and injury. These are non-lethal ways to sub-do a person resisting arrest. Everyone is like, "Oh, my god. That is so terrible, that's not right". You know what, it is. How about you stop being a jerk-off and then you won't get tased. Btw, yes, I'm evil. I have no compassion for idiots. You deserve what comes to you if you're being an idiot, and that goes for me as well. If I'm fartin' around and I break something, that is my dumb-ass fault and I will give myself a mental ass-reaming for it. Gawd, when did society turn into such pussies.

So get this

I got Quest for Egg Salad last night, 'cool a whole day earlier' sort feeling was washed over me. I open it up and wouldn't you believe it. IT WAS THE SAME BROKE DISC THAT I REPORTED AND MAILED BACK. The very same crack in the disc. So, taking Johnny's advise, I promptly snapped it in half and reported it again. That was last night. Today, I check my account and they are sending me a new one today BEFORE they receive the broken one, this time.

Well, as I suspected, my box set of M.A.S.H. came and wow. This box is huge, I'm talkin' huge. And the T-Shirt, thought a Large size, was packed in this little tiny package. Like, if you see a standard brick of cheese at the market, decrease that size, proportionally, by about 50%, that is how small this package was. And I got my tags. Not to mention, 36 DVDs of M.A.S.H.. I haven't even finish one disc yet.

Haunting Ground also arrived. I looked into it. It was apparently suppose to be part of the Clock Tower franchise but that got nixed. Anyway, you start as the heroine, having just awoke inside a cage and only a satin sheet to cover herself (which, of course, clings to her body in just the right fashion to not reveal anything, yet given the lighting her silhouette can be seen). There is one scene where she is walking up stairs and the light shines behind her and the camera is focused on her crotch/legs. Yeah, you can see the 'lines' of her body. Also, after she is clothed, the game has the same boob engine as DOA. Lots of jiggle and bounce and rather large breasts for her body frame. Though this game has a prevy quality to it, there is a sense of it belonging there. The characters are kinda prevy in their own right. The grounds keeper is a large 'special person' who wants to 'touch' her. The maid is jealous of her because she and have children and enjoy sex. The care taker want to breed with her and very little is known about the owner of the castle. So, in context of the plot of the game a natural prev element is sort of needed. Good times, though.

Weekend Review

Mezzo Forte was not as expected. A few funny parts. The creator made a hit anime called KITE. In the first 5 mins of Mezzo Forte there is a conversation between to cops on the street and one mentions some killings (which happened earlier in the film). Well, as they talk, KITE, a female assassin from the first film, is seen walking by, she stops listens for a second then hurries out of scene. It was a cute little nod to the first film. Well, as I dreaded, the film was edited for content. There were 2 graphic sex scenes left out. Now, one of the scenes was a dream sequence and has no further effect on the film...so I can forgive that. The second one, although you are aware something transpired, should not have been taken out. This whole scene is referenced later a couple of times. Granted it was taken out because it was graphic (XXX style), but it was still needed for the flow of the film. Anyway, the series is not panning out to be very interesting. There's only like 13 episodes total so no biggie but they are not as good as the film.

Mulva 2 was freakin' awesome. The verbage was great seeing how Quentin's script is spliced throughout, but some of it was obviously Chris's handy work. Teen ape can't be written by anyone else other than Chris. They also brought in a B-movie ringer, Debbie Rochon, to play Mulva. And she was awesome. Anyway, a great wrap to the Seaver series.

Still waiting on Quest for Egg Salad. Supposedly, it will be here tomorrow. Today, seeing as how I didn't make it to the Post office in time, I will pick up my entire series of M.A.S.H. collection; complete with T-Shirt and dog tags. I know you don't care but M.A.S.H. is a special show for me. One of very few good memories of my Dad and I spending time together. Also, Haunting Ground should come today. Haunting Ground is a lesser known survival horror. It follows the same type of game as the Clock Tower series. Basically you are a completely defenseless character, no weapons, no blocks or tumbles, no nothing. And you have to survive the constant hit and run tactics of a serial killer on your tail. It this game, though, you have slight advantage than the others because you have a dog that will help you. Best it can do it is attack the killer while you run away. I'm curious to play. Should be alright. It didn't get attention, usually that worries me, when in association with the gaming world, but I'm excited either way.

A correction to a previous post. I only get 24 hours of online viewing with netflix.

Also, I had to do it, I went to Dragon Wars. Luckily I didn't pay for it. Horrible. No point. Just Horrible.

Netflix review

Okay, it is only my, like, second week of Netflix and already it sucks. Turns out Mulva 2 is not in their warehouse but in some other one, no big deal. Well netflix has this thing where it gets movies to you fast. So it shipped on Wed. They say it won't arrive til Sat. Meanwhile, I watched Doom Asylum- horrible. I had to fast forward through it, fortunately my DVD player has this 1.4x fast forward speed which still allows the sound to be heard as it is fast forwarding. Kick ass when you want to finish watching something painful. Patty Mullen was alright but this was a film with a bad script, bad director, bad everything. It was just painful to watch. Not to mention that about half of the film was of the killer watching old b/w horror flicks. We get it, he modeled his killing spree off of them. Seriously, he would kill them go back to his shows, kill again, then watch some more. Ugh, it was just bad.

The double feature was alright. Funny but just sort of repetitive. Again, good times if you just don't fell like thinking at the moment.

As I was saying, Netflix sucks. So not only am I not getting the fourth film in time but the Quest for Egg Salad was cracked. A big freakin' crack that seemed more like a break with the decal holding the disc together. I report it and they send a replacement. Meanwhile I mailed the others back the night I got them. And now it looks like I will get the next 2 films by the time I get Mulva 2 and Quest for Egg Salad.

I am looking forward to the new ones though. I have been wanting to see Mezzo Forte forever. I have a small, 2 min, sex scene saved on my computer but the whole scene was very intriguing and entertaining since it is anime. Oh, its anime, btw. They also made a little series(OVA) off of it which is also coming. Good times. I did find out that Mulva 2: Kill Teen Ape is a spoof of Kill Bill, which will be cool.

Anyway, the fast is going well. I start the non-eating process today. My fast is 2 weeks long and the first 2 days and the last 2 days I get to eat but only fresh fruits and vegis, with my vitamins, herbal teas, and clean water. Now, I'm on herbal teas (2 a day), water, vitamins, and 2 juices which are freshly juiced fresh fruits and vegis for the next 10 days. The suckiest part of this whole thing is that I won't get to have my movie snacks when I go see Resident Evil: Extinction next week. And of course, I will be playing Resident Evil DVDs and games all week up til then. Lets see if I can beat all of them by then. 0-3 won't be hard but 4 takes awhile and then there are the 2 shooters, not to hard, and the 2 co-ops, of which I still haven't beat either one.

I know this sounds kinda full of myself, but...I really am diggin' not hanging out with people. I'm doin' my own thing and havin' fun. I'm sure I will get bored eventually, but right now it is all cool. No compromising, no 'fine I'll go have a drink', no 'fine lets go do what you want to do and ignore that I have an opinion on the matter'. Yeah, good times. I think this is why, ultimately, I'm not in a relationship. Why would I go do something if I don't want to? Because you love them, right? Well, what if you don't love them that much? Then, why continue the relationship? This is roughly what happens every time. If I don't enjoy doing things that you like to do and I don't love you enough to bare through it, then what are we doing? Fuckin'? Yeah, not it is all cracked up to be when you aren't into them much. Alcohol helps that though. I have intimacy issues, that obvious, but every time they think it is commitment issues. I try to help them understand my POV, but how can you reason with someone when they are angry and you don't really care anymore since they aren't willing to listen? Wow, lot of questions in that paragraph. Rhetorical, of course. I know why I'm messed up, I do have the training after all. Just thinking out loud.

Let's get you up to speed.

Okay, almost a week since I blogged...must be slippin'. So I did join the ranks of MySpace. Did a fancy to do to my webpage...I think I'm good for now.

I took a few days to recoup after the well mannered frivolity of Fish and Chip's B-day. :/ Anyway, I was good by Monday but I, fortunately for me, took the day off...and what a day to take off. Nice rainy day to sit inside and watch movies. I'm banking on Netflix btw. Four movies every delivery and a 100 hours a month online to watch movies. The 100 hours might go to waste but not the four flicks. The first batch was Space Camp, And Now for Something Completely Different, Gwendoline, and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. I loved Space Camp as a kid, now, it was too short. And Now for Something Completely Different was just Flying Circus only about 2 hours of it...same skits just redone. Fast Times is, well, a classic. But the shining star was Gwendoline. Starring Tawny Kataen (the girl from a few 80's hair band videos...mostly White Snake), in her second (and most important of the time since she gets naked) film. This film is a bit like Romancing the Stone and Jewel of the Nile, only it was done by a French director who loves the female body, apparently...LOTS of naked chicks in non-pornographic and some very sexually suggestive scenes. By far the winner of the four. Just that it has the making of having been a classic romance novel of today. I enjoyed it a lot, not just because of the many naked (possibly French, oui?) ladies.

The Second batch is a bit more lewd. Undead, A Virgin Among the Living Dead, Frankenhooker, and a double feature, Mulva: Zombie Ass Kicker/Filthy McNasty. I've seen Undead but fell asleep last time, now I know why. A Virgin Among the Living Dead, I had to fast forward through...old film with the gratuitous nudity but the problem was WAY too long scenes of people walking and no talking...just walking. And it had a bad habit of doing the Dragon Ball Z stuff of flipping back and forth between two characters faces for like 20 scenes in a row each about 5+ secs. Frankenhooker was just fun. It was a movie that knew it was going to be bad so it had fun doing it. The big thing about Frankenhooker is that it starred an ex-penthouse girl Patty Mullen in her second of 2 films. Normally this isn't big news, what is is that she died in '96 in Chicago. She apparently was very overweight by then, was called the 'fat lady' by her neighbors, and was a mother of 3 girls, which were the ones who found her body. However, the biggest news is that this was a big case in Chicago because of what happened after she was found. When the police found her body, naked in the tub, after forensic stuff, they dragged her corpse into the living room, completely exposed, and sat in her kitchen raiding her fridge, then they dragged her body out into the front of her lawn, also completely exposed, and neighbors were overheard saying 'the fat lady is dead, quick raid her kitchen'. The family sued the CPD for extreme misconduct. Unfortunately, the courts had it tied up for so long that by the time the courts decided in favor of the family all the cops involved were no longer working for the force also, a recompense was established in the fining the police involved a month's salary. But since the family had also moved away by this time or had passed on, the notice was never delivered and currently resides in the CPD return mail box. The 3 daughters are living with a friend of the family. In light of this atrocity, an organization was built for the mistreatment of obese people, with this case being their flagship. Frankenhooker was funny,...she was a funny lady.
And the double feature. Man 'o man. You know, I've seen and love the humor of Troma, a NJ independent film company, but man. These 2 films were made by the same man Chris Seaver and by a company called Low Budget Films, which works with Troma,...and we are talking very low budget, like $500. Both were hilarious though, even though they over use the 'running gag'. Highly entertaining though. Mulva is about a girl's first time going trick or treating, at the age of 23. And a zombie uprising happens. Annoying,... very annoying voice (suppose to be), but entertaining. Filthy McNasty is about 2 girls want to be pretty and use a demon, call Fil (Phil), to make that dream come true. He does and promptly kills many people in the process, some through sex. Also entertaining. Basically two films to watch when you are in the mood to not take anything seriously.

The next 4 come today: Filthy McNastier/Filthy McNastiest (double feature), Mulva 2: Kill Teen Ape (Teen Ape is a running character in all Chris Seaver's films), The Quest for Egg Salad (a mock of Lord of the Rings, also by Chris Seaver), and Doom Asylum (Patty Mullen's other film). Lots of fun in store.

You may ask, why so many films? Well, I have a shit ton of stuff I just want to see on my wishlists, not buy, just see. And Netflix has finally gotten a broad enough range that they have about 95% of those films so that is why. Why so much at one time though, well, I don't really want Netflix and I have over 250 films I want to see. So, crunch time.

And as a cliff hanger; for the next 2 weeks, starting today, I will not be in contact with anyone. I'm doing my fast gawd damn it. I'm no going out, I'm not hanging with friends, I'm not socialising. I realize this doesn't mean much for many people but I'm tired of starting and stopping this fast. So, sorry for all I have made plans with, but I need to finish this before I go crazy.

Halloween

I don't care what people think. Rob Zombie is becoming my most favorite director.

With a remake of Halloween, quite possibly John Carpenter's masterpiece, I was very leery. Then I heard it was going to be done by Rob Zombie, well, to tell the truth, all skepticism flew out the window. If there was ever a movie remake I would trust Rob Zombie with, it would be Halloween. Rob Zombie has a way of keeping the evil evil but showing you a softer side of it, while maintaining the original evilness. Now, Rob Zombie is showing an early director's forte of always casting his friends/actors he has previously worked with. All of his regulars are in here with, albeit, smaller parts; except his wife. Now, I think the lady is awesome, but she can't act very well. I do see her getting better through each film. But she didn't hold the candle close enough here. She tried, which is obvious, but you could tell she didn't have a 100% hold of the character. And, leave it to Rob to cast her into an important but semi-large part. She plays Mikey's Mom. Which, in the original, didn't matter much, but here we see Mikey progress into the psychopath.

Rob Zombie has done nothing to the story, btw. He made a few changes to how certain things play out, but has not changed the story, the characters, or the nudity at all. Yup, just like the old film, 3 girls show their boobs and what lovely boobs they are. But, they are shown in probably the best way titty flashes can be done, with realism. Unlike the first, titty flashes are not the best thing on the screen, and, unlike the original, the girls don't worry about putting something on while trying to get away from the killer; they just try to get away like any real person would. So, yes, during one girl's scene she is topless cause she was just making out when her boy toy was snatched from above by Mike. And none of that creepy 'he is lurking in the darkness waiting for you when your done and alone' crap. He waits for a second then moves in. Rob Zombie has brought realism to this film which really helps draw you in.

Also, I think Rob was perfect for this direction because he has a fascination with 70's clothing and music which help bring out the creep factor. He also helps bring to light the true aura of the 70's. I really hate it when people revel in the 70's culture; thinking 'it was a great time to get high and love one another'. True, but there is a huge down side to that sort of freedom. Mainly the people who take advantage of this type of situation. The people who are sick in the head and cause violence and pain wherever they go. These people slipped through the cracks of this time and Rob Zombie helps bring that to light more so than anyone else has done. S.O.S. for example (Son of Sam). This guy roamed around killings tons of people and no one really took it seriously. The guy had to turn himself in to be caught for crying out loud. The 70's weren't great, they were a time to be afraid and Rob helps point this out better than anyone.

I don't know. All I really know is that I identify with Rob Zombie's directing taste. I feel satisfied that I have seen everything I wanted to see out of his films, and didn't even know it. Well done Rob, well done.

Keepin' up with the communicay

Once again, my fast has been put off with the sudden and inevitable planning to do things with people. So this Saturday is like wall to wall things to do. First, family reunion (which I never go to but might this year), second, movie night; I must make an appearance if that is all I can manage. Third, Aussie's b-day this Saturday and it is ALL DAY. Gawd.

Well, things are going a little better at work. The biggest thing (other than the lack to do stuff since I am still in training) is my new boss/old supervisor. Ever since she got the new position, she has been a bit of a downer. It isn't her fault though. The previous guy knew he was going and just sort of toss stuff around and ran a very lax ship. Now she has a lot of people breathing down her neck about stuff and she, unfortunately, does take it out on us a bit. But, these past few days she is getting better at not taking it out on us, letting us converse instead of instruct with her. We'll see how long it lasts.

Big news for me, though. Sept 21st. This is quite possibly the biggest day of my year so far. Res Evil 3 is coming out to theaters. I have been syked since I got back from Korea and found out about it. Which, as of tomorrow, I will have been back for a whole year. I can't believe so much time has gone by and so little at the same time.

Around this time next year I planned to have 2 vacations. One, I will be going to Gen Con next year with Chuckles and whoever goes with him. and B, I will visit Rose and Johnny for a kickin' good time. Aside from that, just the random vacation days.
