So today was alright. Decent sleep. Finished a chapter. Was pretty productive at work. Going to get a few errands out of the way. 'Cept this.
I was on my merry way to the fax machine. I push the fax button; the machine tells me it is low on toner and shifts back to copy; "I don't need toner, I'm faxing," I tell the machine. I push fax again and the same result happens. So fine, I'll replace the toner. Our admin comes over, noticing I am in the cupboard under the machine. She thinks "This can't be good," and investigates the problem. I tell everything that has happen up to this point; the big bang, how the earth cooled, the extinction of the dinosaurs,... everything, right? She looks at the control panel and notices the reason it keeps going back is because the 'copy' button is stuck. So, she digs it out, by this time I have already opened the new toner cartage and am ready to replace it. She pulls out the old cartage and we notice the new one is not the same size as the old one. So she goes off to find a replacement, while I put the new one away. I pick up the old cartage and look at it. I am to busy noticing the make and model number to realize the rest of the cartage is dumping toner all over my shirt and the floor. After I notice, people begin to notice me, covered in toner. "Low toner my ass," I say to the vile machine. I clean up, the admin fetches me a company T-shirt. I and I finally get to fax.

Load 16 tons, what do you get?
We had a hard day at work today. We have this new test and we are all new to the procedure. We thought we were doing it according to plan, no. We got chewed out about it. That was first thing this morning. Ever since then, it has been getting worse. My boss is getting an ulcer, my co-worker is freakin' out saying she is going to kill someone, and our admin is giving me the evil eye for giving her work. I appear to be the only one not taking it personally.
Well, DAH2 is finished, took like 10 mins. Now back to the net.
I had my crown put in yesterday and filling done. I didn't touch it til after lunch today, I don't know if it feels weird. I suspect I swallowed my crown. Its possible I didn't as well. I'm going to get it checked tonight though.
I have to re-do my birthday pic for my mom. I'm down for the free food but I hate pictures of me. I hate them. I loath, despise, vow vengeance, curse you and all your kind sort of hate.
Although, I am in better spirits than my co-workers. Their moods are bringing me down man. A little lethargic, wondering if free food is worth the effort. I know...free food is always worth it right...that's how much this aura of darkness is affecting me.

Simple Twist of the Net
So get this. I can't access my google account from work right. So, I sort of use this blog for any really important that I need to do by email (that and my work email account). But all this weekend I couldn't access my blogger account from home. But I can access it here at work... ... ...that's messed up.
Anyway, finished Destroy All Humans 2 (mostly)... ... ...it happened again. Just like FFX-2 I got 99% completion. AND, I didn't use a single guide. Easily fixed, though. I can go back after it is finished to find that ONE item I am missing... ... ...and at least I know it is on the last level due to individual level stats. I will have to use a guide for it, which won't be easy still. I'm basically given locations of the items but seeing how the walkthrough items are numbered and the game's aren't I will have to go to all 40 locations of the items to find it. The really funny thing is that I was one item down in the first game too. But, since it was buggy, it never showed up. So, I was stuck with 99%, or play it all over again... ...
I now have to play Missing: Since January again. I emailed support about the problem but when I got to trying again, that game acted like I was finished, so I never got to face the bad guy or see the ending. It won't take nearly as long this time (not that it took long the first time). The hard part is that are actual games in the game besides puzzles. This makes it kinda difficult since they are kinda difficult games.
But first a few chores to do.

Traveling Trophy
So, My old boss is now gone (going away party last night). My new boss is freakin' out cause of all the work the old boss left behind. There was a pot luck today, of which I contributed to. And, its okay to say this now, since it has been released to the news; I'm getting canned... ... ...in like 2 years.
There is this new system that everyone is excited will be implemented. It will place all the separate databases of donors around the world, into one system. It will also eliminate a lot of what I have been trained on recently. Basically, I am being let go because of damn computers. But this will take LOADS of time, they say 2 years for us... ... ...course they have been saying 2 years 2 years ago. So. They told us this is this nationwide communication. Apparently people, other than me, have known about this and have been jumping ship. Well, they said that if we stay to the end, being when they eliminate our positions, they will give use severance and a retention bonus (basically, severance and a lump sum of money for staying to the end). I'm not complaining though, I wasn't gonna be here forever. Besides, 3 years of this place will look killer on my resume.
So yeah, a pot luck. My mom made this recipe a while back at a funeral, oddly enough the recipe belonged to the person who died. Anyway, I really liked it and never had an excuse to make it til now. I am a great cook, this I know, but that doesn't stop me from being nervous that hundreds of people will be sampling my recipe and placing their judgement upon. Meanwhile, I just pray i don't kill anyone. I kept thinking, "Its to salty, its to salty. I should have used a meat with a less sodium content." But I got this really good reception on it. Although, then that just leads me to believe that their lying. Everyone who told me it was really good, knew the whole back story (cause I couldn't keep my mouth shut) and probably didn't want to offend me knowing it was a family recipe. That's what I have come to expect from my co-workers. No one says what they mean. Anyway, I did it, it was fun...oh the recipe. My family calls it 'hot sauce'. It can be hot but for this crowd I toned it down cause I expect most of these people wouldn't want spicy food at mid-day...or ever. Basically, it is a meat and vegi sauteed, soaked in diced tomatoes and banana peppers (with all the juices from all portions), served with buttered Italian bread and parmesan cheese to sprinkle, if you desire. Takes a while to make but well worth it. I don't mind if I serve a few people but when we get to over 30 people (whose job it is, is to be professional costumer service representatives...gawd, I could just feel the fake smiles and compliments...maybe; family won't beat around the bush, but at work....well, feelings first....respect your co-workers. Yeah, you get it.
And my bosses party. Was alright. I have never been to the Upstream before. Bummer was that I had to cook that food and there was no way I was gonna get around a knife while being that drunk. So I crashed at 10:30 and "rested", not slept cause I was so worried I would over sleep and no t have time to make it. Well, I got up at 3 and had a stress induced adrenaline rush for most of the day, til I started to fall asleep at my desk, after the pot luck, well round one anyway. There is a second round for the night crew.

On the mend
I feel tons better today. And I have no idea why. I did get a full nights sleep, sort of. Crack out at 8:30pm woke up at 1am, 3am, 3:30am, played some DAH2, back to sleep at 5:30am slept til 7:40am and went to work. I took a few vitamins (which I have been taking for about 2 weeks), and a herbal tea. Hm. Oh well, got take advantage while I can. Lots of chores and errands today. I can't wait til I'm done though. I really want to get back to my game. I'm now in England, so there is all this British frame of references from the 60's. Good stuff. Anyway, later.

The Return...
So my birthday weekend is over (tg). I want to say thank you to all who wished me a happy birthday, to all those that took me out to dinner, to all those who took me out to lunch, and to all those who desired quality time with the T. It was defiantly event filled. Now back to the grind.
Now it is smooth sailing for my fast (of which I have to start over). And it is needed. I consumed a lot of food, with lots of oil in it. I must have added 20 lbs. But the fast isn't for weight loss (though it is one of a few results). It is to clean out my system. So although I ate a lot, it was pretty healthy...well, healthier than what I have been eating.
Anyway, I bought the first edition of that game Dr. B and Loin of Iowa were playing. It is a lot easier than the second, and faster. However, there appears to be a snag towards the end. Since it involves the net it is prey to net failure. So, for some reason, it crashes at the end...the internet does, not the game. Hopefully I get it figured out. Anyway, I pick up my controller for the first time in like a month. Started playing Destroy all Humans 2. I liked the first one but it was real buggy. Seems they did so well, they made a second, are making a 3rd and are planning a 4th. I really like this game though, aliens in the past killing lots of humans. This one takes place during the 60's, hippies and cold war. Perfect mix for a discreet alien takeover to go unnoticed. Top that with two voices overs. One sounds like Invader Zim, and the other is a decent mock of Jack Nicholson. What is fun is that you can read peoples minds, the hippies are pretty funny, but what is even better is that you can take over someones body and if people see you do this, you use a psychic attack call 'free love'. And everyone in like a block radius starts dancing to some trippy music and act like they are all high. Basically a lot of fun. You even start a cult of alien worshipers. You can abduct humans for your gene splicing experiments. Yeah, I like this one...in case that isn't obvious.

The Days Ahead...
Only one more day of work then a 4 day weekend. It will be filled of doing stuff and nothings. But as of tonight, I will be moving back home. Thank gawd. I don't know how much more I could take of "having to do something" every night. Dr. B isn't the most patient of people. He wanted to play 40K last night, and like a good host, I obliged and didn't get to bed 'til 3am. Got up at 7, fed the animals, got dressed and went to work. I've had a good amount of coffee today, which helps shoot down my goal of a fast even further away. It seems every time I try to fast, all the days ahead are filled glorious meals and gatherings, or having to break it due to necessity. No worries, it will happen, but not this week. Lots of lunches and dinners. Birthday celebrations 'n all. Problem is that tonight may be as tiring as last, since I have to move out around 9:30pm. I just want to sleep, but alas, so much stills needs done before I can enjoy the relaxing weekend.
Seen a lot of the slam queen lately, which is awesome.
Pretty soon I'll have stuff on ebay. And hopefully a less full house. I still don't know a good way to rid myself of all these DVD's. Amazon, ebay, GameStop. Anybody got any ideas? I'm not doing it for money, finally. I just got a lot of crap. I get carried away with impulse buying sometimes.
I've also grow to like FlyLeaf. Basically I like her voice and the musical accompaniment. And a new band (to me) called Dirty Little Rabbits.
Anyway, the last few hours of work beckon...

Traded to the Minor Leagues
So, Wednesday; the 35W bridge collapsed. Well, our daily inbound calls range around 400-600 a day. It jumped to 1400-1800 a day. So, since I wasn't doing much, and my boss was out-of-town, I got volunteered to go to the call center to help out. After they trained us I had about 2 hours of actual call time before I was off. I was sent there at about 10am which, if you are counting at home, means 4 hours of a crash course on the phones. Yeah, after the first 30mins I had it down, but they wouldn't let me go live cause that meant that since I got, I get to help train the others who don't. Yeah...long day yesterday.
Then Dr. B and company were over again only no game. They were over Wednesday as well we got to level 7 in about 7hours...course about 3 of those hours were spent in a black out. We watched Shaun of the Dead on Dr. B's laptop to pass the time.
There was suppose to be a game night this evening but I kinda opted out. I'm getting very tired of being the only one organizing and not getting any help or much feedback. I have to much on my plate, as the Slam Queen mentioned earlier this week, to worry about trying to keep ties for everyone. Trying to get people out and doing things, trying to make sure they see each other, don't get disconnected and stuff, but if I have to practically beat it into them, than it just isn't worth it.

Fortress of Solitude
So Monday evening I packed up and moved into KC's for a week. I found Dr. B and the Lion of Iowa playing and unbelievable awesome puzzle game. Evidence: The Last Ritual. It is a sequel of Missing: Since January. It is a detective type game. The Phoenix, a serial killer, is back. You are a part of small group of ordinary people given a CD-ROM by an agency to help solve the case and catch The Phoenix. What is great is that you play YOU. You are faced with puzzles and you are suppose to go onto the Internet of either lead you to the right answer or find it. You get emails from the other players (in-game players) giving you hints to the puzzles or just down right answers when they solve it. The puzzles are numerous but are like MIST's puzzles...only these are extremely hard. This game got great reviews except that all of them say that this game is amazing frustrating because these puzzles are very hard. Mostly these puzzles test you history/religion knowledge. I'm not talking about the standard stuff. I got over there at about 6pm, with my help and New York's (who showed up at like 11pm) we got through to the 4th or 5th level (out of 8) by like 3am. Remember who is involved here and what our areas of expertise are, though: Myself, facets of the mind, psychology (with a dash of criminology), and years of years of puzzles; Dr. B, a real doctor of bio-chem; Lion of Iowa, our very own history almanac; and New York, theater and art extraordinaire. All four of us combined, it took 9 hours and three computers to get to level 5. And that is not counting how much time Dr. B and the Lion of Iowa spent before I got there, but they were on level 2 I think or just finishing level 1.
Well, in the mitts of this splendid game, I was chatting away with a woman I have been speaking to for a little while. We hit it off from the start and were getting along famously...until she horribly and quite expertly dump my ass. I was pretty broken up inside and so what do you generally do is said situation, drink. So I took it upon myself to give myself a self induced sick day the next day. I spent most of Tuesday sulking and being a shit and doing shit....and it felt good, real good. i figured it would take me a day or so to bounce back and I was wrong. It took less :). So, I had a good/bad night, hooked up, lost 150 bucks, dumped, drunk, sick, depressed, and bounced back in less than 48hrs. A new record.
All in all, a great start to my house/animal sitting week.

Welcome to the Show! Please step inside.
Okay, with all that happen this weekend, I would have thought I would be worse for wear but guess not. Dr. B's impromptu party was this previous weekend. Good times. A dive bar, everyone there are people we know...mostly. Dressed up like we had all been in fight and are now enjoying a cold one to discuss the particulars. Anyway, I had a lot to drink but very little effect...interesting.
Well, my boss will be going out of town for a few days this week. She has given me a few "projects"(chores) to do around the place.
I'm thinking about taking the Keno job at AngelKris' work. Something to do, little extra cash, but no real commitment to it, which is why I'm hesitant. You know, it not like I would need it. Course, this is if it is still available.
Game night was pushed to this weekend. I'm gonna try a little something different. Have a game night on Friday and Saturday. One at Fish's place, and one at Outcastpop's. So there is Friday and Saturday plans, Thursday is booked due to a challenge that I have accepted, and Wednesday is Simpsons with an old friend. Tonight I move into K&C's to house/animal sit and Dr. B and the Lion of Iowa are supposedly coming over tonight for some gaming of there own. Leaving Tuesday free...thank gawd. Course, getting my hopes up. Whit will probably call or show up wanting to do something.
Well, for barely starting this fast, I feel great already. Funny thing is that I tried to do this a few days ago so I actually started today but feelin' great.

"Sure do wish I had some GRENADES right about now!"
So I have finally been able to do productive things at work. Obviously it is a little bit, so I am still bored, but less so. I have house/animal sitting duty at the beginnign of next week to the day before my birthday. The apartment is still a mess. I have been severely noticing how tired and exhausted I am from doing nothing, when I get home. So it is about time for another fast. I started with the vitamins a few days ago to slowly let my body get use to it. I have been sleeping a lot as well. Tired like. Trying to get through these games when I have spurts of energy. Time to leave work....

This is what's like when worlds collide
This is an update of the world around me.
Chuckles lost his job sometime ago but picked up another doing kinda the same thing. Doesn't get along well with others :)
Miss Lynn and J-dog are hitting a rough patch. I'm not worried. The time schedules are just rubbing them raw in my opinion.
Fish and Chips' grandpa passed last Friday. He is doing well enough. It was a good service.
Vaga still has a problem with her meow but it is usually only her first meow when she sees you. After that it is a non-stop meow-athon.
The place is still a mess. I meant to do my room last night but I realized that it is a weekend project. That and I slept for like 13 hours. I am rested some what.
And this last part is for 1031. I did respond but apparently blogger.com is not updating my posts and comments at this time but yes. I will take some off your hands if you have some to give.

Super Happy Extreme Funtime Weekend of Sleep Lacking
:Edit: So about the typos. I was in a hurry and was late as it was. Fixed now. :Edit:
So, I haven't had much sleep all last week due to Potter 5 and prep. Thursday night I had a good 5- 6 hours though, I guess. Friday, I planned on nothing. I went to K&C's to drop off something and low and behold I was whisked away onto another adventure. Chuckles and I went to Joejoe's and stayed til 8am Saturday playing this wretched game called Warhammer 40k. I used to play years ago and so a lot of the night was a refresher. I decide to spend a little to join in the fun, since this is what my friends are doing now. I used to play Eldar when I was young, my brother got me into it. There kinda like those faggoty elves of WoW. I loath playing them but I'm good with them. I understand what they can and can't do. I like their efficiency and gimmicks but gawd do I hate playing them. So we did that, I didn't get to bed til 9am Saturday and woke up at noon on Saturday to take a road trip with Fish and Whit to see my favorite band in concert, a real concert, the Jolly Rogers. That was freakin' awesome. I got a T-Shirt, thanks Fish. And I didn't get home til 2am-ish. I slept til 11:30 am, finally a long rest. Which after few hours of ebay and TV, I spent the rest of the night scrubbing the bathroom. Btw our place is filthy. I will be spending the rest of the week working a room a night. Tonight is my room, break on Tuesday, and if they haven't done it yet, I'll move on to the Kitchen than the living room. That leaves Friday to maybe go hang with M&M at the harry potter book thing then River Riot on Saturday. Miss Lynn and Miss Ann got me an ticket for my birthday.
Potter 5
I am so tired. My own doing. Normally, this wouldn't have such an effect, but I have been up late trying to finish the books up to book 4, which I didn't do. I did come to the realization that, imho, book 3 has more relevance on book 5 than book 4 does. Anyway, I think the audience participation contributed to the excitement of the film. I enjoyed watching Ms. Lynn huff and puff about how much it didn't follow the book exactly. And she enjoyed watching me see things and realize things, that she knew already, for the first time. Prof. Trelawney scene in the court yard caught me off guard and surprised me very much. Especially when Prof. McGonagall came to her aid, them sort having a bitter history together. What I was really looking forward to was the cast. I knew that they would all be back. Just about all the people from all 4 films were here and a few new additions, btw Luna Lovegood was awesome. I can't believe she beat out 15000 girls who auditioned, well done. I wish that Helena Bonham Carter had a bigger role though. She is such a terrific actress and to be given such a small part (in such a big movie), I don't know, I felt a little jilted. I think everyone did a great job, even if Ms Lynn feels that Emma Watson's acting is not growing as Daniel's and Rupert's is. I still don't like the new Dumbledore very much; I think he is good for the role seeing how Dumbledore is getting evermore darker (kinda don't want to see the old Dumbledore get that mean). But he is not convincing me as a great and powerful wizard who is very light-hearted, wise, and child's playfulness. More like a talented one who just so happens to be about as strong as Voldemort.

ComE ON, Are YOu FreAkin' kiDdIng ME?!
So I spend over 9+ hours on a card game tournament inside Xenosaga just find out that the 'promo' cards I was trying to win I can't get until I play another 20 hours of the game. This card game is like Magic: the Gathering and I build this awesome deck that kills anything and it takes an hour per tournament if I make it all the way through. So there go a few days of my life. Meh. I wasn't usin' 'em.
Went to K and C's for the 4th. Had some steak. Heard/saw some fireworks. Couldn't sleep 'cause of the fireworks. Stayed up playing another 2+ hours on the game...yeah (sob)...good times (sob).
I plan going to see either Sicko or Licence to Wed tonight. Don't know if I'm ready to be depressed so maybe not Sicko. And Licence to Wed 'cause Jim from the Office is in there and he's kinda funny. Also, got me a coupon for a free small popcorn...yea...I hate popcorn...sigh

One shall stand. One shall fall.
Transformers was awesome. Funny, action filled, lots of stuff for the old school transformer fans. The robots are so big on the screen that only get to see a small portion of their fight scenes (ie. the bottom left half). Some of the lines were cheesy. Shia LeBeouf was very good (like he always is). A good time. The score was obviously recycled from Armageddon with a few remixes of other scores: Terminator and Halloween. Stay after the credits for a few more scene but once the main credits start rolling there is nothing else. Some lines were even used from the first movie. Bare in mind that this a revision (focus on both of the those words 're'-'vision' - meaning taking a vision and redoing it) because the film does alter some from the original story. I heard some people complaining that all the cars are Chevy so they won't see it now cause, "Bumble Bee is a VW Bug, not a Camero." True, but you can't make a bug sexy, not for the scenes he was used in. So go,...relive some fond memories...expect cheese and sentimental, life-learning messages (like the old cartoons did. remember those 'the more you know' messages from G.I. Joe). Laugh at the cheesy funny parts, because what else are you going to do...sit there and complain...yeah, that's a good time had by all. Just remember 2 things: 1. Summer movies have to be big, 2. Micheal Bay, apparently, can't do otherwise.

Subtle Science and Exact Art
:Edit: btw, I am finished (as far as I know) with the blog reformat and set up. The wishlist is for me, not you. If you ever get the inkling to buy me something (which I know you do), please 1. Don't and 2. (if you aren't paying attention to rule 1.) do not check these for ideas. These wishlists are impulse buying only. I plan to go through and whittle out everything that is crap (which is, of course, everything) and buy them in due time were I to desire to. :Edit:
I have seen and read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone X times to the nth degree and not once did I notice that line. Subtle science and exact art that is potion making. Cool.
Anyway, not much to update about. Have the 4th off, won't be doing much (if anything) this year. Have to fix my glasses, probably Tuesday which also the day I'll be taking my mom out to eat. Hopefully, I'll be able to get up early and leave work early....I hate rush hour and having to drive to my mom's straight from work will take forever. Okay, okay, I know, everyone hates rush hour. Well, I get road rage. Personally, I hate driving. I hate other drivers. Everyone has to get home because they had a hard day at work, or they have to get dinner ready...you know what, so does everyone else.....Okay, No, I'm not gonna talk about this. This is already getting me riled up. Anyway,....video games, video games, and more video games. That's what I have been doing and will be for a while. No Daily Show or Colbert Show this week. So only 2 and half hours of TV this week...sweet. I also have to read 2 books Harry Potter books and watch 2 movies before next Tuesday evening (midnight show of Harry 5). Also, tonight at 8pm is Transformers...I will be seeing that. Also, a dental cleaning this week and a root canal next week and then Harry on the 10th and Jolly Rogers on the 14th; dental surgery on the 13th.
Good times.

Movies are not books
Okay, I saw Die Hard 4, and usually I write some sort of review on movies I see. Not this time. Plan and simple, I like it. I went in wanting to see a movie, and I did just that. No preconceived notions, no questionable reviews, not that I tried to tune out all that. I just wanted to see Bruce on screen, being a the kid he is, and he was. It was funny, and impressive. I'm not going to compare it to the previous films because it can no longer be considered one of them. It stands on its own as a good, funny film.
Harry Potter. Well, only 12 days away for the film which I will probably go to a midnight showing of. As people may know, I have been trying to schedule a game night with people. I emailed about the 21st-ish. Well, since I am fan of the films and not the harry potter books, I didn't take into account the book release on the 21st. So I will move it for harry potter fans to the 28th. I'll also email again. That taken care of, let me re-iterate how great it is to see a film first, then read the book. You are NEVER disappointed in the story....EVER. You see the film and you think "wow, that was cool" then you read the book and say "this is even better, wow, I didn't know that". Instead of "wow, I love this book, it is freakin' awesome. They should make a movie about this." And then, "I can't believe they left that part of out, it is so important to the story. Why did they do that? That's not how it happened. Okay, that is right but all the other stuff leading up to that was wrong and now everyone in this theater (who hasn't read the book) is gonna think that that is how it happened. I'm gonna have to tell everyone I meet that it was way better in the book and that the book makes more sense. This movie is crap, they didn't tell it like it was in the book. If they are going to change so much why even make a movie? They just did this to make money and I can't believe I help them do that." Now I'm gonna let people in on a secret of the film industry. You ready? Here it is.
Movies are not books.
I know, it was hard for me to realize at first to but then I started to think about it. Its right movies are not books. Books have pages, lots and lots of pages. Books don't have time requirements (except deadlines for release). Books don't have a limit to the number of pages they can have in order to tell a diverse and enthralling story (well they do but it is reverse, like it has to be at least 300 pages long, no shorter but no limit to the maximum). Where movies have a budget, a time frame or no longer than 2 hours (example), a release date, a rating they must adhere to, producers to please, sponsors to please, fans to please (fans of the books or the director or the actors or the writer (screen or author) or the studio or all of it). They have to make everyone happy because a lot more money goes into films than books and they would some of that money back. They have to compromise. Change it enough so that the layman will be able to understand and interested and put a slight spin on the story so that 'die hard' fans will be curious and interested. If they made a film just for the fans, they would lose money since the fans don't make up a large portion of the populace. Books don't cost much so they can write a story they want and watch the money rake in.
Remember when you go see a movie based on a book/novel/comic/graphic novel/bible/whatever. It will be different 90% of the time. Lord of the Rings even made compromises and they 3 films to tell one story.

It's Official
As of last night, all my shows (aside from 2 which won't quit, more later) are over. I watched last 2 episodes of Enterprise last night and then they started all over again. Stargate SG1 is over (out with a whimper). Atlantis had its season finale. Lost had its, Heroes, The Showbiz Show, Battlestar Galactica (which I hear is coming in September), still haven't heard anything on Deadwood's last shows, Office, My name is Earl, Grey's (thank god, don't think I'll be watching this anymore anyway). My only shows are Daily Show and Colbert Report. I do have one new show, Man vs. Wild. I do still have one cartoon, Naruto. This makes up for an hour of TV watching Mon-Fri and a half hour on Sat with Sun free. Haha, I'm actually losing weight because of this...HA. Granted I replaced it with video games but I actually have to force myself to play for more than 2 hours cause I get so bored. And to be honest, I think I'm so desperate for a game night just so I can occupy some of my time....just something to do.
I'm bored at work, I'm bored when I get home and since I'm slimming a little (probably also due to the dental work, hurts to eat), I have all this energy. I'm no longer nervous of doing something at work just cause I so want to do something.

Best update ever
Glasses kinda broke (for those who don't know, I have glasses now). Be feeling kinda paranoid lately. Mainly cause people aren't talking to me and I difficulty watching them, so, basically, I have been slacking at observing which makes me think everybody is having secret feelings of anger towards me. I know not really. Getting a little further in stuff I can do (legally) at work. I held off on getting that one card paid off, which might burn me this next pay check. A few dental appointments coming up; a cleaning and root canal, no worries though. My tooth has already had all the nerves scraped out of it, just got to do a little construction and then a crown. I can not wait (meaning it is UNBELIEVABLY difficult to wait) for Harry Potter 5. Taking loads of Advil so I can eat. playing lots of games and not getting anywhere in them at the same time. And now, I done for the day. Later

I feel oogy
I went and saw DOA yesterday. UUUUHHHH, okay it was entertaining, purely in a bad Mortal Kombat way. Best part of it was the the guy who played Lukang in Mortal Kombat (the main character, I'm not sure his name is spelled that way) is a Chinese pirate that gets his ass handed to him by Jamie Presley (playing Tina).
DOA is a video game that is made famous by the fact the girls fighters in the game have anti-grav boobs. Every movement the girls make makes there boobs bounce. It is also made famous by taking the concept and making a DOA: Volleyball edition; of course, made simple to see the girl fighters in bikinis and jump around.
Hookie, very hookie. The film is filled pantie shots and gratuitous fight scenes. They didn't even bother to change the characters costumes or their personalities. Best acting was done by Jamie Presley (not a big shock, she is very good even though she is type-cast), the actor to play her dad.
I felt better after watching Severance though. A British film about a company "teamwork" camping trip, that happens to have very recent rash of murders in the area. It turns out that the people dieing are working with the same company (which we all know). Don't worry, no spoilers. This a funny ride, through a horror movie. Mostly all European actors except for Laura Harris. This actress is slowly becoming one of my favorite blonds. Her biggest roles (as I know them) is the new girl in Faculty and as the dead movie star in the Showtime show Dead Like Me. I liked this one. Even though some of the film techniques seem to be stolen from 28 days later.
New movies this weekend
1408 - I'm looking forward to this. Although, imho, the mystery has been taken out of it by all the trailers, it seems like it will still be very good.
Evan Almighty - Maybe. I like Steve Carell, so maybe.
And the one that is not being released near me that hasn't had enough plugging is You Kill Me - Ben Kingsley is a drying out sort-of retired hitman (who can only kill people when he is drunk) and Tea Leoni who is...well, herself sort-of. Basically she is always the whining annoying women in just about everything I've seen her in and from what I seen and read...she hasn't stretched that talent one ounce for this film. You know, now that I write semi-review for this...I think I'm glad it is not being released here.

Guild Bashing
I just read this article in "Games for Windows: The Official Magazine" actually had me laughing at my desk after which I had to explain to my co-workers why it was all about.
CRISIS ON INFINITE SERVERS
by Cindy Vane (Cindy is probably, at this very moment, fleeing from psychotic, raid-organizing, meeting-tainted guild recruiters.)
So, I'm minding my own business, farming rat whiskers, and some fellow who calls himself "KnifeMe" hits me with an unsolicited whisper:
"U wan join up w/ a kickass PVP guild? We recruting heavy time specially 4 healerz."
"Um, no thank you."
"y r u not guilded?"
"I'm a bit 'guild shy' at the moment."
"Oh y is that?"
"It's a long story, but anyway...Ok, do you have a website I can visit that explains your guild's philosophy?"
"no i just started it me n my brother."
Sigh, "Um, no, really, I'm not interested."
"u gotta hava guild n this one is gonna be UBER lol. We calling it Oafkin Croop's Dueling Cocks."
I nearly faint when he spells "dueling" correctly. "/ignore KnifeMe."
INVITATIONS, NINJA STYLE
Ninja guild invites bug the crap out of me. Ninja group invites do, as well. In fact, any private message from someone who doesn't know me is immediately suspect (especially if it includes the phrase "$$ cheap gold $$"). As a maxed-out healer on several MMO fronts, I get a lot of that sort of thing. I reply to the group invites using an invariably polite macro that says something like "I'm sorry. I'm with a party that I cannot leave at the moment, but thank you for thinking of me, and good luck!" Gag. But it works...and sometimes they even reply with something brilliantly clever, like "You too. Take care!"
But with guild invites, I feel strangled by a cravat of turmoil, brought on by uncomfortable memories of guilds I have known. I ask myself, "Do all guilds consist primarily of a bunch of psychotic weenies with emotional issues? Or have I just been really good at joining the ones that are?" I've gotten reprimanded for not saying "Hi!!! :)" immediately upon entering guild chat; for talking too little; for talking too much; for not dropping everything I'm doing to run to the other end of the universe to assist a bunch of people I'd never ever associate with in real life; for not participating in the "Ding! Gratz!" paradigm...and I've been accused of any number of other atrocities.
WHERE DO THEY FIND THESE PEOPLE?
The last guild to kick me out was run by a female Dwarf with perpetual PMS who was looking for affirmation from other carebear boys and girls so that they may sing "Kumbaya," have scavenger hunts, and share their MySpace accounts. When a difference of opinion led to my unceremonious booting, she told my former guildmates--and anyone else who would listen--that I was kicked out for trying to have sex with her over TeamSpeak. Seriously.
In another guild, I made the mistake of being empathic with a guy who possessed all the typical traits of a wrist cutter. He was a tank--a terrible tank--and no one wanted to group with him. I'm no longer guilded there, but this guy still jumps on me the second I log in, shouts "MEOW,"tells me how miserable he is, and then invites me to group with him. I'm running out of excuses.
And let's not forget the l33t powergamers whose main focus is to flex their e-peens in public forums. Listening to them converse is more painful than reading Ann Coulter while deeply inhaling fumes from a burning plastics factory.
Can we all agree that the trouble with MMOs is that other people suck? You never suck. It's all of them that suck. Just remember that, and you'll be a lot lonelier...er, happier. Play solo. Construct a few refusal marcos. Attend a kiting seminar. Just say no to guilds! :end:
This is a awesome article. This is all my grievances with MMOs. I hate mass people anyway and this is just every feeling of hate balled into a brilliant article. I have often wanted to play WoW again, but this is why I don't. I loved playing the game, lots of cool quests, excellent story for some, and some of the quest chains were very long and quite fun (especially solo, solo taught me strategy); unfortunately, people occupy this game. I started on a PvP server just because my friends were on it. I should have jumped ship and got on to a different server, but I still didn't know the game so I had to constantly ask them questions and for help. Granted, I spent a great deal of time getting as far as I did but I start games over all the time.
I joined Gamefly, btw. I'm not sure if I'll stay still (3 more days of free trial run). I really want to focus on beating the Xenosaga series. Then I'll move to .hack// series again. Not the best graphics but its really cool. Xenosaga series is the prequel to the greatest RPG of all time, which is Xenogears. They had to change the name for copyright laws since it was under another company.
.hack// (pronounced Dot Hack) series is a RPG (try to follow me here) of a fake MMORPG, based in Japan, that has a growing virus (actually the game is becoming sentient) that causes players, who encounter the virus, to slip into a real coma. The game has chosen you to stop the virus. Did you follow? Okay, a little more detail. The Epitaph of Twilight (a real 'in game' poem written centuries ago in Japan) has been programmed into the game for a story line. In the poem is a little girl who tried to help the human race against the power of the gods. When the other gods, that were helping the human race, saw how cruel the humans really were they began to leave. The humans fear they would lose the war if they didn't have the power the gods to back them so they trapped the last god, the little girl, with 12 curses so that she could not leave. The humans eventually won by basically summing all the power the little girl had and using it in one final blast, killing the girl and the gods. Well, the MMORPG, in the game, has become aware, due to Japanese engineering, through advance AI programming. So the little girl gives you power to stop the game's growing viruses, which are the 12 curses binding her. Well, after the first 4 games (all one story), the company building, housing the servers, burnt down and the company eventually disappeared. Well, two years later they reconstructed the company and the MMORPG, known as 'The World' version 2, but with no Epitaph of Twilight. The second series of .hack// has to deal with PKs (player killers), people so bored they start killing other players just for fun...in the game, that is. Well, there is a PK in the game that is said to kill your character for good and put the real player into a coma, and he just happens to look like your character from the first series, wink, wink. I can't wait to play this series, but I can't play it now. I have to play the previous 4 again because, like all series games, the data you saved from the previous can be transferred to the next. So you see how I have a lot of gaming to do.

Ren Faire
This was a blast. I love Ren Faire and this year was just good as when it was at Iowa Western. It was smaller, quaint really, but better. Since it was picked up by St. Louis, they need little to fund the venture. Due to that, prices were lower in a lot of places. I got some cool henna. Soem insence, a few cheap (remember afore mentioned lower prices) blades (I always want some throwing knives). Lemonade for a buck (not the good stuff, which was there, but still). Turkey legs, and funnel cakes, homemade icecream and rootbeer, and yes, homemade rootbeer floats, burgers and dogs, and some pasta and oriental foods. It seemed all the shops were there but they were scattered about and made it seem less cluttered. Some of the main acts (no tortuga twins this years) and a new act called the Limey Birds. Jolly Rogers were, of course, present and accounted for....best thing about the faire. New CD's, some pirate swag, and tickets to there concert in KC on July 14th for 10 bucks. Yeah, a concert...for the Jolly Rogers. How cool is that? No need to respond, because it is very cool.
I had a good vacation for once in my life (I mean actual vacation time I have taken off from work, not like my trip to San Fran, that was awesome, but I wasn't on vacation cause I didn't have a job). The perfect mix of thinigs to do and doing absolutly nothing. I enjoyed every minute and now back to the grind, which I look forward to since I am rather done with vacation stuff.
Anyway, good time had by all (which is really just me).

Nuthin' to do...might as well update
Well, today is the last day of the week for me. Seems like I have had quite few days off. Well I have. They told me to use up my vacation time before the end of fiscal year; I had like 6 days to spend, a holiday, and 3 sick days. Not to mention a few days I leave early for doctors and dentists (I know, I know, dentists are doctors). Well, this is the last of the official days off, and I think I have enough sick time for one more day. But I'll save that.
I joined Gamefly today. A free 10-day trial. I probably just stop or maybe keep it now that I think of it. Could save me loads money in games I just want to play and not keep. Speaking of; I have been thinking of selling some more stuff. Not for a need of money but just that I'm getting older and I got a lot of shit. I plan to contribute some books to antiquarium...if they'll take 'em....if they're still around. Games sell pretty well at gamers. I don't know about movies though. Some aren't exactly suitable for re-sell...maybe ebay. I do have a digital camera now. Don't know if I want to pay to put something up and know that it won't sell well or forever.
Biggest news is Ren Faire. I hope to have a blasty blast (thank you Dane Cook). And since 4th of July at the KC is out I might change it into game night. Maybe. Last time sucked ass, even though I really appreciate all who did show, it still kinda sucked scrotum.

Tada
Because I know you are all at the end of your seats with antici...pation (sorry, rocky horror moment, I couldn't resist mate,...sorry Pirates moment).
100% COMPLETION METROID PRIME 2: ECHOES
This was hard. And then I find out, after completing it, that there is a hard mode.
Anyway, this is gonna sound kinda funny. In 2 and a half weeks I would have been home from Korea if I had stayed (if I wanted to come home that is). I still don't regret the decision of coming back when I did but I am also glad I did the whole experience. The funny part is that probably within that time (the 2 1/2 weeks) I will officially be moved back in. I started to unpack the last of the boxes last night so we could get the AC's in. Now, I have to arrange everything to my liking but the time it will take do, much less get to it, is probably 2 1/2 weeks.
AC side note, it is nice to not sweat during the night...
In truth, the boxes are actually from the supposed move out of the apartment, not the move to Korea.
I even had time to go through the video game collection and put all the games I haven't beaten, much less played, off to a side to do so. Not as many as I thought really, about 20.
Tonight: Litter boxes and Enterprise - btw I mentioned this before, but this is a really awesome show. This show had like 4 seasons (where I thought it was only 2...maybe) and actually got me interested in Star Trek again. The first Enterprise; the first crew; the first deep space missions; the first threat to Earth; first contact scenarios with no prime directive established yet because the is no government of aligned planets; no shields, just hull plating (actual armor instead of an energy barrier); Warp 5 is tearing the ship apart. Very cool stuff.

Huh...
I just realized that I have been blogging for over a year. For over a year I have been bitching about nothing....cool.
Anyway, I called in sick on Tuesday and Wednesday. And then I got back and did...nothing. After being down here for about 2 months I really starting to get bored of doing nothing. However, they told me that starting next week it is training week for me...even though I will only be here for 3 days and one of those days I leave early for a dentist appointment...and won't be back til Tuesday the following week.... .... ....So 2 and half days for training next week. Yay.
To be honest there has been a lot of training...sort of. I have been covering the reading material mostly and done a couple things with supervision, but that really doesn't amount to the time spent burning the clock and collecting a pay check.
Anyway, I feel loads better and saw a funny movie last night. Wild Hogs. It was enjoyable, nothing special, but funny. The end credits were really funny. During the film a bar gets burned down and at the end credits a mock Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was aired of the rebuilding of the bar for these homeless and wayward bikers. Really funny.
Few good films came out today. Hostel Part 2, Ocean's Thirteen, and The Valet.
Hostel I'll see; maybe Ocean's; but Valet seems kinda Jerry Lewis-y.

Sinus City
So, I'm sick. Sinus infection; it's like my tenth billion one. I get these all the time, I just loves my dairy a little too much I guess. Well, to be honest I was sick Sunday. Always am when I spend the day out K and C's. Not enough exposure to the smoking on top of an impeding sinus infection. I doing better today; good enough to go to work. I actually couldn't wait to get to work today. I just finished boxing up the rest of 2002 and 2003's files. Can't believe it took me 4 hours. I have been working on that project for a few weeks. Lots of interruptions. But now, I move on to 2004 and 2005's files. I just hope to finish 2004 before Ren Faire. June 15th through the 17th. I took the last of my vacation time for it. I want to go everyday it is open...we'll see though.
I need to get out to see a few movies as well. Maybe tonight.
Vega is doing extremely well. Her only problems now is her meowing, it coming out but very quietly; and getting down from heights. She can do it, she almost doubles over and her back legs don't always land on her feet.

What is the sound of financially?
Well, I'm one pay check away from my second credit card being payed off. I took a dive in payments to the last card and will probably not pay much or any with the next pay check. Why? (I know you care, don't act like you don't). Ren Faire. I want to have money when I go the Ren Faire this year. I have no intention of spending anywhere near all of it. But, for once I would like to maybe get sucked into an impulse buy at the Ren Faire.
"What do you need a jar full of dragon tears for?"
"I don't know, but look just look at it...doesn't just scream 'You have no use for me, but I'm pretty'."
Buy a Jolly Rogers CD and not worry about the fact that i just spent my grocery money. You know, stuff. I'm even gonna dress in my slapdash pirate outfit. It will be a good time had by all.
On a different note, my older brother just got engaged and congratz to him and his. And...my mother just purchased an entire ceramic business...for like 500 bones. (the bones of the children she sits for Mwhahahahah...).
She isn't currently planning to do anything with it other than something to do and for the family to enjoy. Maybe one day, she'll start something up but who knows.

Game Weekend Results
So my vacation is over and I am back to work. I am actually glad to be going back. I've said it before but I very little to do towards the end and I really just wanted to work. Anyway, Game weekend turned into game night; Saturday night to be more specific. To be honest, it was more of a turn out than I thought. 6 total including me. We played Munchkin til 7 in the morning...popped a few Munchkin cherries. What is awesome and kinda pervy is that every time a Munchkin cherry is popped the player always wants to go again... ;)
Anyway, I have been trying to play my video games since I started work here. I can never seem to get into it. Every time, I try to play a game, I almost immediately get bored and stop. Well, I tried all weekend to play something and alas, nada. But I have been forcing a few hours on Metroid Prime 2. I started so long ago and am going to try to finish with 100%. And them try to move on to FFXII. We'll see.
Vega is walking, I came home around noon Monday and there was Vega walking up to see me. She wasn't to happy to see me (probably cause I was gone for so long); but she is now warming up me again since I shut her out of my room at night. She isn't 100% but she is making a great recovery...Jason and I think that maybe she was hit a by a motorcycle, which would explain most of her symptoms, but in the end we will never know how she was hit and by what. Also, she lost some weight, which is a good sign of a fast recovery. (i.e. the less she eats the more time the body can put energy to fixing itself).

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End
First: I will not spoil any of it for anyone.
Second: IMHO, worthy to be the third in an new epic trilogy (in other words, I enjoyed it very much)
And C: best line in the film "NOBODY MOVE!!!... ...dropped me brain..." I could not stop laughing at this. Mainly for personal reasons but it was still unbelievably hilarious.
For a cat update: She stood up today...for a moment...still can't walk without assistance.
And for a self update: I start house/animal sitting tomorrow and game weekend also starts then. We'll see how well this will turn out.

Quiet contemplation
So our cat, Vega, came back from the vet on Monday. She was hit by a car on Friday night. I didn't even mention this because earlier that night I was over at my mom's discussing what to do about our 17 year old dog, who has cataracts, arthritis, tooth decay, intestinal disease, and a gum infection. Yet still a heart like a horse (for his age). Dealing with another potentially dieing animal in the same night was...well...I kinda block it out for a while. Anyway, my dog might be in a little pain (mostly due to the arthritis) but Vega got it a lot worse. Miraculously no broken bones; possibly a bruised bladder and/or kidney. The biggest problem is motor function. She can move each leg fine but it seems the muscles have difficultly. She can't stand, can't walk, can't even crawl. She is able to move around by embedding her claws into whatever and pulling herself forward. She can eat if hand feed. The doctor says it might be spinal shock but otherwise he doesn't what else he could do. I got very upset about this. This doctor didn't seem very good by some of the description I got from Becky. Anyway, we have deal with her being like this for at least a week. If she doesn't improve, we may have to take her to the vet hospital. I can't tell yet if she has neurological damage or just drugged (since I don't know how long the drugs last or when they were administered). For the moment we have an invalide cat...this is striking a cord with me...a bit of like "I'm not gonna take care of her" sort of feeling. I know it is because my dad suffered a stroke and living with a semi-paralyzed human being was hard enough. But this is a creature that doesn't have the facilities of doing things for itself. A feel ashamed for the feelings but not regret. I help take care of my dad and due to the neurological damage (and him just being him) he was rarely grateful, even mean sometimes (because he could do everything by himself, I get it). I don't it kinda scares me to take care of her. Not that fear anything that she might do or I might do...just that I don't want this to be a "forever til she dies" thing. Or a situation where we can't afford to continue caring for her and will have to put her down...

The Ex
This movie was funny. And surprisingly, not a chick flick. It is absolutely freaking hilarious...."Why would I give you my 'yes' ball?"
good film to bounce back from the Shrek debacle.
Starring Zack Braff (from Scrubs), Amanda Peet, and Jason Bateman.
But also starring the very funny Charles Grodin. He did the Beethoven movies but is probably most well known for the fugitive in Midnight Run.
not to mention a kid with an amazing (although, CGI'ed) talent of eating and swallowing a hamburger (bun and all) in one bite. Scary awesome.
Anyway, fun movie. Jason Bateman plays an awesome dick. You know the kind, soft and kind, very passive aggressive, not very smiley, but just an all-a-round dick.

Shrek the Third
Absolutely the worst movie ever. I don't say this lightly (as some of you know). First let's get down to the core of what made the other films so good. The journey. Everything that happened while on the journey was what made the story, the character development, plot. In Shrek 3 the journey is all of like 2 minutes (thanks to a wizard). Second, Character development. The only reason I can fathom as to why there was only one-line character development, is due to the fact that we the audience are suppose to know who these people are already. I'm not talking about Shrek, donkey, Fiona, etc. I'm talking about the newbies of the film. Merlin, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, Captain Hook, the Evil stepsister, etc, and wtf Evil enchanted trees, what the hell are these from.
The villains of our fairy tales play a big role in this film and they are merely glossed over as "the villains".
This movie was slapped together by people who don't care what the audience thinks of it. It was very lack lustered. The endings of these films are huge singing scenes, this film had the main actors credits rolling while donkey and puss'n boots sing against a black back drop. What the hell.
Not to mention the main villain of the story. Prince Charming. First he is pathetic actor and everyone hates him, then he is a leader of the villain army by smooth talking his way into their folds, then he is pathetic again when confronted by Shrek and gang. Barely any action. Just a whole bunch of whining on the screen of "I don't wanna" sort of mentality.
The only redeeming quality (which does very little in redeeming it) is the baby shower gang. Fiona and four of the main princesses of Disney. Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Cinderella, and Rapunzel. These characters are voiced by the former ladies of Saturday Night Live. This is where the movie should have gone. All the classic comedy tools were used here. Sleeping Beauty is a narcoleptic, who during one scene I could barely keep my pop from coming out my nose. She was sleeping and abruptly wakes her self up through snoring and pops up looking around and says "Who Dat" in as deep as a voice as she can. Cinderella has OCD about cleaning, which if you stretch it leads to her being a little crazy. She just rambles about cleaning and one the other princesses tells her to shut up and she repeats it to herself under breath, which is actually her saying it to her reflection in the floor, then tells to herself to stay out of it. Rapunzel thinks everyone is jealous of her hair (not much character development here since we see so little of her), and Snow White, who apparently gets the most camera time and lines. She is argumentative and snobby. And it all because she knows that she is "fairest one of all". Also, her baby shower present to Fiona is a live-in babysitter (a dwarf). When they girls get into the thick of it Snow White tears off her sleeves to reveal a heart tattoo on her arm with Dopey's name in it. And then with her beautiful signing voice she summons all woodland creatures to come to her beckon. The music changes to Led Zeppelin's - Immigrant Song making all the woodland creatures attack. These are classic comedy avenues that should have been explore more deeply. This could have been the greatest movie if this were the focus. But these wonderful ladies only comprise a total of about 15 minutes of the film. Sad, very sad indeed.
Overall, very bad movie. And let me tell you I had extremely low hopes for this film and it murdered each and everyone of them.

Timing...
Get this. So I am now (as of last Saturday) a full-time health councilor. Well, I think in concert of anxiousness of work, being up at 6am, and the very greasy calzone; I nearly puked. So I put in a sick day on Monday. Tuesday was great. I am getting some training and am almost on the verge of actually talking to people about their donations (which, I don't like calling people I don't know, but I'm sure the fake phone voice will come naturally). One other thing is that my Manager was out sick on Tuesday. So today, as I was walking in. I was stopped by the new supervisor in the Component Lab. Apparently, they asked if they could have me for one more week. My boss didn't see anything wrong with this so he allowed. This was Monday, but I didn't hear about til today. So, for the rest of the week, I'm working splits again. Won't be to bad. I kinda miss my night crew.
I gave my email out to a few and one for sure is down to join on game night. Get this, he is a veteran Munchkin player. I about died with laughter when he was telling me about some of the arguments. He's good guy, and I'm glad I could get him out for a game.
I got some vacation time coming up. The 25th through the 29th. I'm gonna be house sitting so I figure it is a perfect time to game. This will be in a mass email, but if you're curious. Just to make it easy for a start to game night, since I'm house sitting it would be easier for people to come to me. Munchkin will always be available, as well as, many "screaming-at-the-TV" trivia games. A little booze and pizza. A few board games for small crowds. And even some Warhammer 40K if people like, though I'm more partial to Necromunda. We can also explore the RPG option as well as some tournament style of fighting/first-person-shooter/points types of games. And can always end up with movies/TV, maybe a little stereo. Or if just 2 people show, hop onto the PC's to game a little. Since I'll be there all Friday through Monday (Tuesday I recover). I figure just to show up when time allows for you. Again this will go out in a mass email to the traditional gaming crowd. Remember though. I am house sitting Chuck the Truck and Kitty Kat's place. So if wish to see them, you won't cause they are not there. I am. You came to see me dammit.
Also, I know I said maintenance is taking place...it is going slow, I learn from the best (Omaha road construction). If no one shows for the gaming week. Then this is what I'll be doing when I am not crying, or drowning my sorrows in my gaming addiction.
Great news though, since HR forgot to give me my overtime from my last pay check, this pay check is gonna be huge. I can't wait. The reason this is great news is not just because it is a lot of money. Saturday, my computer melted. Okay, not the whole thing, but my video card did. It was hot, was midday, I was out at the movies, and my computer had been on for most of the day. When I finally figured out what might have been wrong I checked it out and sure enough. My video card practically had a whole melted/burned right through it. The reason the pay check it great is because I had to use one of the credit cards to pay for new video card. And since mine was like 2 years old; I had to buy an upgrade. All and all, my computer is fine now. It is only turned on during the wee hours of the night til we put in our AC's. And with this new schedule of the split, it works out fine for the moment.
My life merely a series of serendipitous events.

Midnight showing of Spider-man 3
Okay, I'm still remodeling the blog but I got talk about this so....you all shall suffer HAHAHAHA (head cocked back with hands on hips).
Spider-man 3
Was awesome but a lot of worries that came up before the film came true for the most part but was still done well enough. First, my biggest worry was Topher Grace as Venom. Now, he is a good actor, but I think he would have made a better Carnage than Venom. He is really good at playing the arrogant ass...But he did well. I was also concerned about Topher's size. Venom is suppose to be ominous in presence, but they did well with what they had. They played it off as a creature from space which is what the simbiote is.
Thomas Hayden Church is always good though. You can tellthat in some of sand scenes he acted through it and then they morphed him into a man of sand.
Green Goblin Jr. was pretty good but I have always had reservations about the actor for it.
Kirsten Dunst was actually top notch here. I was really impressed with her performance. And the constant interaction with upcoming supervillans i.e. Lizard, and Black Kat (I think Stacey turns to Black Kat...I can't be certain), was really cool.
But just like I thought, they crammed to much into 2 and half hours. After it got dark (in mood) the film really picked up though.
Overall, top notch for a third film. But that is what it is...a third film. And it seemed too much like a comic this time around. More of a filler for the next 2. I really hope they keep the same cast and crew.

What's New
What's new? Nothing really. The job is going good. I am already doing a few things. I'm not counciling anyone yet. Since we are FDA regulated, we have training even for that. But mostly I'm back to sitting and reading at work, only this time they encourage a little web surfing so that I don't get fried out. Office work rocks. I get to take mini breaks like every hour. All for health reasons, don't want me to get any eye, leg, or back problems from all the excessive sitting :)
Anyway, they change me back to hourly (with the same pay), only now since I am hourly I get night differential and overtime pay again, till they get it figured out. How sweet is that. Now I can do my stint here then work overtime in the lab to help get them caught up. Which, by the way, I will be getting a lot of over time in the lab soon. BOY do we have some major problems coming up.
It was lab week this, which means lots of mini games to do at work with a 2 hour luncheon with a raffle. I didn't win anything...yet. There is still one game left that will be determined soon...and it is the big prize. Becky won something though. And lunch was from garden cafe....ooo swanky.
Decent week I guess. Their is a party that I kinda want to go to but probably can't cause it is a crossdressing party. And I don't know any women my size, and I am not in a position to go and buy womens clothes either. Maybe a moomoo (spelling?). Or a her's robe.

Black Day
Okay, so I'm a week off. I couldn't celebrate Balck Day last week so I'm doing it this week. In case any of you don't read my blog, like everyday, Black Day is a day that only people who were single on Valentines Day can celebrate. On April 14th, single people get together and basically have a traditional dish, which I love to death. I had it just about everyday over summer break. Anyway good stuff.
So, belated, but Happy Black Day.

Rung #2
So I start my new job tomorrow. It's only for 4 hours and then I go back to the lab for the rest of my shift. I'll be on this schedule for about a month. I'm a little nervous, being a councilor and all. Got to dress up for the part to...not my style, but got to play the part I guess. I get my own desk area, computer, get to bring a radio and stuff to decorate my place. I got an office gig basically, it feels like a lot of responsibility. Like this is who I will be for a while. I don't know, probably just pre-jitters and all that. That and I still don't know exactly what I'm doing. But I have been promised to eased into it...course, I've been promised many things by many businesses. I could always go back to the lab...I just might...sometime in the future...of my own choosing and after I pay my debt off, I hope. Anyway, I feels like a whole new world is opening up tomorrow, ... ... ... and I don't feel ready.

Blood/Paper
I got the job, my pay will raised about 50% and will be salary, and I will be working a 50/50 shift. I will spend half the day in Donor Suitability and the other half in Component Lab for awhile...til Component lab can live without me. I will be payed the new pay throughout though. When this will happen I haven't heard yet and if the time I come in will change, I still don't know. But I got the job.
Meanwhile: The last ten Stargate SG1 episodes will start this Friday....sweet.
And Grindhouse was a mile a minute funnertainment. That's right,... funnertainment. Anyway, it rocked, I recommend it. So what if it is 3 hours 19 minutes long....Lord of the Rings was that long and you sat through that...

Salary
Just had interview in the Donor Suitability department. I thought it went well, but I don't think I'll get it. Why? I don't know, I just have a sense about this stuff. I made them laugh, made them relaxed, I think they got a good judge for my character; but I also, don't meet all the requirements...then again, how many new hires meet every requirement...still don't think I'll get it.
::Edit::
So I got called into my supervisor's office about 2 hours after this post; she asked me what could they do to make me stay, she tells me they called up saying "We want him, how soon can you let him go?" She told them she would get back to them. So I said, the only reason I'm going is because of the money; which is why I do what I do at this place anyway, yeah sure, it does look good that I will finally have lab experience and counseling experience, but dude....the money is my main goal at this moment. I think I got the job, I haven't heard anything from them yet but I think I got the job.
::::
Anyway, Bec and J are on a cruise this week. She called to complain 2 hours after she got on the boat...hehe. I told her that there is a time table on a cruise, and you have to adhere to it, not it to you. Oh well, she is having fun anyway.

Sick
I'm sick, sick as a dog and I'm still at work. I must really like it here since I plan to work my hours tonight. I've been to work since Saturday...and I still have 2 more days to go; plus, I agreed to take Becky and Jason to the airport at 5am. What is wrong with me?

Axis of Evil
So a few things.
I just bought 3 of the 8 films to die for that just came out on DVD today; Unrest, Gravedancers, and Penny Dreadful. In my opinion these are the best of the bunch. All well done (for what they are) and decent areas of film critiquing. Unrest - uses real dead people, that added effect makes it even twice as creepy. Penny Dreadful - to be honest this film was my favorite, great acting by our lead, good story, good scare factor; but as i said before, the villain (when you actually see and hear him) is very disappointing. And Gravedancers - okay, not the best I've ever seen. Sort feels like it belongs on a channel that is a cross of the WE network and Bravo. But, entertaining. What it lacks in style and grace it makes up for in...okay, maybe it doesn't do that either. But it is entertaining, sort of reminiscent of the old scary films.
And....(drum roll please)
...
...
...
I am trained...on a few things :/
Actually I've been trained for like a week and a half; but since I can no longer be pulled from training, something else had to go wrong. Over the past week: both of our blast freezers went down, one centrifuge went down, and our freezer and our fridge are both in alarm (meaning we can't go in them). We can barely triage, and spin blood, but since our fridge is in alarm (in only one corner) we had to move everything to the other side of the fridge which in turn leaves no room to put anything that comes into our building. So we have product building up in our coolers, product we can't filter cause there is no room to place anything, product we have to continue to process so we use dry ice, and product that is already a day old and can't be spun cause where are we gonna put it. So I can now do all these things but can't cause we don't know what else we can do with our limited abilities.
But I did get my hair cut. I feel good about that.

Idiot Box
I have finally watched all (or nearly all) of every previous season of Stargate SG1. So, I can stop recording the episodes....when I changed the program to just new episodes (which start again in April) you should have seen how much the DVR sighed.
Anyway, TV programing is disappearing for me...
Rome - Series Finale last night...ok, they summed up everything...a bit corny
Battlestar Galactica - Season Finale last night...BEST EPISODE EVER...won't start again til 2008 :(
Lost - still going strong...probably 8 episodes left til season ends
Grey's Anatomy - I really am not liking this show anymore...once season ends, I think I'm done
Heroes - won't start again til late April
Stargate SG1 - last 10 episodes ever starting this April
Stargate Atlantis - starts again when SG1 starts
Enterprise - actually pretty good, SCI FI is showing 4 episodes every Monday...hopefully it is almost finished...getting tired of staying up late on Monday night to get them all in
Family Guy - last night was really weak
Naruto - I got drawn in who knows how long it will go
My name is Earl - don't know what happen to it or when new shows will occur
The Office - same as Earl
Deadwood - have no idea when this is coming back
Daily Show - four fun filled night every week
Colbert Report - starting to get a little old but same as Daily Show
These are our recordings and pretty soon many will disappear. Guess I'll be able to read again :)

Luck of the Irish
So St. Pat's was pretty good. We started at Brazen Head for a breakfast (missed it, got lunch instead). Ran into Becky's supervisor there; chatted him up for a bit. Then off to Barleycorn. Good music, decent sandwiches, met up with a few people. Had a very long talk with Miss Ann, of all people, about my moving and my anxiety about it. Then off to Applebee's for a real lunch, the house for a sec to drop off the urine, then Dubliner. Stayed there for a while, met up with Aussie, good music. Then we went to Zio's and O'Conner's was our last stop....that place sucked. I admit, I was one of those who encouraged the no smoking ban, well, O'Conner's was one of those places that fell through the loop hole about that. Smoke everywhere, and God forbid we leave before our beers were done....anyway, all in all a good day and I made it the whole way without a hangover the next day....cool, cool.

Moving Day
Okay, so I finally started moving in. Already a few snags. Still no door/wall for my room, there is still stuff being stored in my new room, and it is taking a really long time to move my stuff.
The latter is really my fault. I am noticing how unbelievably difficult it is to leave. I guess it is because I have rarely ever left anybody in my life....people have always left me behind, whether physically or emotionally. This time I am leaving....for no good reason other than it is the logical choice for me and her. I don't want to leave this place....to leave her behind....but she is the only thing holding me here. If I would stay, it would be so that I could be near her, which is why I know I should leave. We are not a couple, and rarely ever did I ever want that from her (earlier years). I'm really leaving my comfort zone.
Sure I left when I was going to Korea, but I was coming back (sooner than I thought, but still coming back). Now this is for good; who knows how long she will remain here. She always talks about going to SF, Cali.
At least I'm doing it, it unhealthy to linger, I need this move as much as they do.
But, since it is taking a long time, it will be a while before I am fully moved. I have a lot of excuses, I work all night and stay up til 4-5am. I can't pack during that time cause he is sleeping, I wake up maybe 2 hours before work and then do the whole thing over again. Or, I'm doing this all alone. No one is helping me pack, no one is helping me move. She wanted to shampoo my couch before I take it, and since it has to be the first piece of furniture to move I can't move the furniture.
And lastly, no one has giving me any encouragement or hindered me in anyway. No one has told me how good or bad of thing this is, if I'm making a huge mistake or the smartest choice the world has ever seen.
Frankly, these are my own internal demons. I have to do this this way. I don't want help, I don't want to here what kind of a decision I am making. I don't want any arguing or encouragement. Because, I have made decision. This is really frelling hard for me to do...., which tells me that this is the right thing to do. The wrong choice for me is usually the easiest choice, which in this case is stay. But every night I don't want to move, I mull it over in my head, "this wrong, why are you doing this if you don't want to?" And every morning I wake up I think, "I really start packing and this move started or I am never gonna a leave....and that is a bad thing." Anyway, I'm gonna try to do one more drop off today, and then get to bed early.
MY FAVORITE DAY OF THE YEAR IS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!:):):):):):)

Free at last....
Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls; this last Friday, I came to a realization....I have been WoW free for a year. Yes, that's true. I have not played World of Warcraft (or Warcrack) in over a year. I deserve a token or something...like AA members get. Although it wasn't a huge deal to quit, I truly hated the game...well, the drama it brought with it anyways. I didn't miss that crap for a second....;however, I miss the game. I was a great game....if they ever make some sort of single player version of it, or make like a small team play where you have your own personal server sort of thing....I might go back. But, unfortunately my character is so high in level that I need to party to get anywhere I haven't been yet....oh well. Anyway, I guess I traded Warcrack for another game. This Rappelz Epic III. Only I can solo this, and no ganking, no drama (at least none that I have to deal with). It's a simple game that I play a little on the weekends while the rest of the week I stay logged on to get stamina. I sounds a little confusing and don't worry. I realize you don't care anyway. But it like a healthy return to MMORPG's. I play for a few hours, and don't bother with it for like a week.
I am moving. I finally was able to take a few days off of work this week to actually move all the stuff I boxed up. St. Pats will be a nice break from moving. In case anybody is wondering, I will be at the Brazen Head around 9am for breakfast, Barleycorn around 11:30am and I will end up at the Dubliner for music and drinking.

300
This... was frelling awesome.
I was so jazzed about this movie and it exceeded my expectations. I am in such a happy place right now. Very few times does a film scream at me to see it, and even less out those times does the film make me feel better than the anticpation of seeing it.
Also, it has been barbarians week all this week on the history channel. And I have been diggin' that as well. Really helped spice up the mood.
I ain't gonna spoil any of it but I will tell you that David Wenham (the man who played Faramir in Lord of the Rings) was fanfrellingtastic as the story teller. Of course, the words came from Frank Miller (who is quickly become my favorite writer) but I don't think anybody else could have said them better.

My Chemical Emo
The concert was cool....for what is was. A band that finally got to be the headliner of a show, not a huge budget.....oooo look, pyrotechnics. Music was good for the most part. Helena was a little ruin for me. I like always like the CD better than the live shows, but I don't regret this one. The crowd was jazzed the band rocked out. All and all it was good (I've seen better though). LOTS of emo/death kids. No surprise. What sucked was the end, and it wasn't the band. The band finished with Helena, than said their thank yous and goodbyes. The house lights went up and, as Chuckles put it, the crowd scattered like roaches....no one but myself and Nater cheered for and encore....lame crowd. Anyway, a good time was had by all.
Though I noticed a weird feeling yesterday....I've been at work a lot the past week. Took Monday off cause I was sick; was going to call in for Tuesday also but Becky told the lab was 5 days behind, so I went in for 12 and half hours. Wednesday I stayed for 12 and half hours. I braved Thursday's blizzard and was at work for 15 hours. Then Friday was all overtime. Yesterday, I got a weird feeling that I should be at work....like I feel bad for not going in on my day off.
Well, the feeling has past now.

Doom and Gloom and the events that proceed.
Okay, so due to Red Cross calling a snow day, a few things happen. One, we only got 16 units of blood in...total. Two, Everyone who came to work got free pizza lunch and a extra Vacation day. Everyone else did not get a demerit for not showing up.
So yes, I have pizza again for dinner....cool. Still doesn't change the fact of me being angry at them. My anger has lessen to a grudge though. More or less I'm not angry anymore. I'm....hurt. And in a non-forgiving mood. Truthfully, I'm actually not much of a forgiving person. I more or less just move on. Friends stay friends, they hurt me again and again and I don't forgive them of this but I just accept that people will always do what people have always done...., which is be people. Human beings hurt one another, through complete fault of their own. But the universe doesn't care, life doesn't care. It keeps going, with or without you, it doesn't care. All you got to do is accept it and move on. I haven't forgiven a lot in my life. Mainly because this pain and sorrow in my life has combined with everything else I have experienced to make me, me. Why should I forgive? I'm happy with myself and who I have become.
Forgiveness is to say that I no longer hurt for what you have done to me. Sure, forgiveness is a grand thing to receive but does that help? Well, it helps you feel better about yourself, but did you learn from it....that is too undetermined. They may have learned from it for that moment, but in my experience, people forget a shit ton. If you forgive them (especially right away), they say thanks and skip away. But next year will they remember that they hurt you, will they remember not to do it again?
Part of me says yes but no. The realistic optimist. I understand that if they took that forgiveness to heart, their subconscious will remind them in subtle ways to never do such again. And there in lies why I don't forgive. What if they didn't take it to heart? What if your pain doesn't mean to much to them because they can't know what it is truly like? It is an unnecessary reinforcement for bad behavior. Now, I can't stop someone from finding reinforcement from somewhere else. Ya know, like they did something wrong, they know they did something wrong and they can't get forgiveness from the wronged party; so they run to the nearest loved one or clergyman for forgiveness. Basically it is like finding a new dealer when your old one jacked up the price cause he has to make bills this month. A quick fix.
You could call what I do "tough love," but I wouldn't. That phrase makes it sound that I do it for the benefit of the other. I don't. I do it for me. You want forgiveness, you earn it. I have to want to give it to you. I have to want to release this pain. But then again you may wonder why I don't want to get rid of the pain. Well, like I said before; all my experiences are what make me, me. I have a lot of pain in my life, pain is part of my life. If pain is too ugly of a word for you, use struggle. Its pain to me though. My life energy feeds on pain, just like it feeds on joy. I take negative energy (negative in the way of "dark", not polar negative) and use it for fuel, just like anything else. And how I can use it without wincing....well, there was a lot of pain for a good while. I couldn't get rid of it. So I learned to use. Just like any living thing....I adapt.
Whoo, this got really deep (that's what she said). Okay, now that you have read a "little" into my soul. What now.....?
Oooo, I know. Upcoming monthly fun.
Since I work everyday (for now). My weekends are my only enjoyment.
March 3rd: Sure, movie night is going on, I would love to go, but I'm going to My Chemical Romance concert.
March 9th: I get paid AND...... ...... ..... ..... 300 comes out. I will definitely go, probably multiple times.
March 17th: DUH, okay for St. Pat's there are 2 places I like to go. Brazen Head for the food (Reuben with no kraut and Baked French Onion Soup); and Dubliner for drinkin' and music. I love shouting Irish songs while shnockered.
March 22nd: took the day off for Evanescence
as for the final week in March....I got nutin'

A winter advisory is in effect...
Yeah, it snowing. So fucking what. I still made it to work at 9:30 this morning. Why so early? A few reasons: 1. Mandatory Overtime of 6 hours before Friday at midnight; 2. I really wanted to get out of the fucking house.
In case you haven't noticed, I'm really fucking pissed off.
Work today has been a Godsend. I'm a trainee, and I was the only one to come to work today of those that work in the Componet Lab. They called a dude in on his day off to come in at 6am today. He didn't mind cause he lives 2 blocks away. So it is just me and him. We are 4 days behind now, and we don't give a shit. I can't do anything except help him. And were having a great time.
Nah, what I'm fucking pissed about is Becky. Apparently there was a party at my house last night (of which I was not informed of). Of course she'll say I was, NO, what I was informed of was that Miss Ann would come by with a few friends and hang out BEFORE going out on the town. Becky ask my permission about this and I said fine. I had to work til 12:30am. Apparently they stayed at the house and partyed their. I don't mind that so much, really. What I am pissed about is food. I am on an extremely tight budget right now. Well, I had a series of good luck and scored some free pizza. 3 boxes worth. I had great plans to eat this pizza for dinner for the next 4-5 nights, maybe more. I was so exicted. I went to the store and got a small container of ranch dressing. I was gonna heat up a few slices and pour on the ranch. I get home, there is beer bottles all over the kitchen and bathroom.....and my EMPTY pizza boxes. This was my dinner for the next 5 days. I am now reduced to my original diet of oatmeal, noodles, grits; for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, repectfully. Now this tipped the fucking scale but really, how bad is it if someone eats your food? REALLY FUCKING BAD! Jason tried to make up for it by cooking me his organic pizza (which I like better) but it doesn't change the fact that I am out of a pleasent dinner, that is suppose to lighten my spirits when I come home from a 10 hour shift. What's worse is she probably doesn't even give a shit. Why would she? She doesn't understand what is like to bitch ass poor. She doesn't know what it is like to claw through life without the help of dear old ma and pa. I have been busted my ass ever since I got to Korea. The turmoil of keeping it together through everything has been really fucking hard. Especially ever since I got back. Becky has been cold to me. Well, ....more "whatever". You know, she isn't with me anymore, she isn't on my side about anything. She complains about work, I listen. Usually a witty remake but I listen. I complian about work, she basically has no shoulder to cry on for me. It just like "Welcome to the Red Cross, now cowboy the fuck up."
I mean seriously, how selfish and inconsiderate do you have to be to take a poor man's meal. I never could have thought she would ever do this to me. But then again, why am I surprised? I guess because it has been so long. I mean, I'm down on my hands and knees, picking up loose change, I have swallowed my pride. And I get some relief in a mere meal for a few nights. And she come along, snatchs out of hands, spits on me, then kicks dirt in my face,....then says "Thanks"
I don't think I would even accept an apology from her because she still wouldn't understand how bad she fucked up....

Check This...
Let's start with the loan stuff.
I got a co-signer. A lovely and caring woman who was willing to put her financial status on the line for me and mine....
The day I get the conformation from this wonderful wonderful woman....I find out that this particular credit card company "doesn't do settlements"....so my whole plan is now shot to hell and I am stuck making the month payments til it is cleared up. At least I have the money and am in the right mind to do so. It should take a little over 2 years maybe less if I work hard.
As for my mom, I let her know...that is about all I can do for her right now. I could still use the co-signer for a car loan and get full coverage but that would push back my getting out of debt quite a bit, and with the hella interest I am facing now, we both agreed to do it this way. She'll manage, I'll manage. Like mother like son.
Second on the agenda: moving...
So I'll begin moving in less than a week. I've already been packing. I can't believe I'm going through with this. No offense to Joe Joe, but Becky and I are....what?....a platonic couple, I guess. I this is probably the end, truly. She has even said she never come visit me. I could come see her. This would be easier if I had a cell phone. She call me to do stuff at least. And will see each other at work....probably plan to schedule lunches together....and then just never do. I don't know, it feels weird. On the one hand, I got a sweet little slice of the house all for me; space,...actually that is about it. Space. I'm trading this all up for space. God damn it, I'm so confused on how I feel about this. I mean I don't even think I'll have walls to separate me from the rest of the house. More like the illusion of walls, I think. I don't know. I asked Joe Joe to see these so called retractable walls. I really think this is gonna a be a deal breaker. And then I feel bad, cause he has gone to,....well not great lengths, but he has done some things to help me feel welcome. And it was all for me,...technically. I mean, now that it is done, he could really offer it to anyone. He is just so picky and everyone in his circle really want me to move in...somethings would be easier. A car. I would have a car and no longer share one with my mom and then have to sacrifice my weekends since I don't have a car. I need to talk to my therapist...if only I had time this week...
Which leads me to the last.
So I was able to finally document RBC's (red blood cells). Yes, I finally got a login....for 3 days. Then they ask me to come into the office and ask me to tell them how I do this process of creating, documenting, and storing RBC's. I so nervous. I thought I ruin like a whole days worth of RBC's. What turn out to happen is that since I have one foot in the paper work and the other in new high tech, integrated system, that is suppose to make everything easier, the fact that I can actually do the job that they finally allowed me to do was nowhere to be found in either system. So, ...I was productive for a whole 3 days. And man what a 3 days it was. On the last day we had near 600 units come in. An average is about 350 with a high volume day being about 520. So, 600 is huge. We never finish spinning and freezing the plasma on a 520 day,...never. On my last day of productivity. Not only did we finish spinning all 600 units, but we even finished freezing all 600 units. I was able to inspire the laziest person in the lab, by merely working my ass off, to be just as productive as I and my semi-trainer. We were all psych-ed and pumped. We were like, "now the morning crew has no reason to slack off on LR-ing (leukoreducing...filtering)." I get in the next morning...morning crew only did 100 units....that is bad...I talking way bad. Apparently we did so well, they thought they deserved a break....frelling morning shift. Then I find out I can't be productive anymore til they figure it out.
Ain't this some shit. So now I'm back to being lab-bitch. And in truth everyone I work with is just as pissed as me, cause the system is so frelled up that now someone who has been there for about 2 years also can't create RBC's. He can do everything else, just no creating....and guess who was partnered up with me tonight on spinning? Yup, so here are 2 guys, spinning blood, separating it, and then labeling it unprocessed cause we can't do shit with it. And now they have order me to do 6 hours of mandatory overtime before midnight on Friday....even though I can't do anything but be lab-bitch. And those tasks are done in like 2 hours max.
God damn, my life is slammin' ;)

Update-polluza
Okay, so still no login; which may be a little bit my fault seeing as how I was not a work 2 days last week. I took a few personal days. My great aunt died last week. Now I am the first to admit that I am a cold, heartless bastard. People die everyday. I care very little for the passing on of the populace in genral as well as family. I met this aunt, maybe twice in my life. However, upon rememberence of which relative it was I realized that a lot of happy memories surrounded this aunt. Them I started to accociate them with death and did not please me. Sort of like soiled underwear; ya know, when you just stand there and yell "Damn it." Well, I was not about to let some joyous childhood memories to become soiled underwear. So I took a few days off, got a lot done, then went to the funreal. Stay for the wake, upon which I did not socialize but did serve food. All in all, although a somewhat askew way to resolve the grieveing process, I came out with childhood intact. Teach her to try to soil my underwear.
Moving on. I plan to move out around the 1st of March. Money problems will be sort of resolved and sort of tight still. I came up with an ingenius plan, after being shot down for a car loan about 5 times. So I can't buy my car back unless I have a co-signer. Okay, done. Now I can't have a car loan until I get full coverage and now I can't have the 5K signature loan, which we plan to get as well, even with the co-signer. Well, here is the problem. With payments of 300 to one card, 25 to the second, 15 to the third, 200 in student loans, 250-300 in rent, getting full coverage on top of 185 for the car loan is a bit much. Well, I know what your asking. Why try for the loan in the first place. Well the 5g's was to bring down the 300 payment card + what ever was left from the car loan. Now none of that can happen. Well, here is what I came up with. This one card is pretty much holding me back. So, I go to the loan agent, with my co-signer, while there I get the card company on the phone in order to settle my account. As long as I settle for less than 5k. I'm good. Then I have my co-signer and myself sign for the signature loan, of which will be 125 per month (if at 5k). That deletes the bad card. I spend the next few paychecks lowering my 15 card (which will have an interest of 25% in June). Then all I have is Student loans at 200, rent at 300, loan at 125, and card at 25. That is less than one paycheck, of which I get 2 a month. So around mid-June (which is the deadline I have from my mom). I should be sitting pretty enough to try for the car. (By the way, these payments have been the bane of my exsistance for who knows how long. So getting month bills down to one paycheck is unfelling believeible to me).
And on lighter news. I have found a new WoW addiction. Rappelz Epic III. It is free and not to bad. Controls kinda suck but other than that it is pretty cool. Not equipment based, not party based. Just simple hack and slash quests. A blacksmith that upgrades armor instead of buying new stuff, skills depend upon killing stuff for points to upgrade them. Money is virtually non-exsistant. The only drawback (of which I do not partake in) is if you want the uber gear you have to pay the website to buy it. This how they make there money. tons of kids want this cool cape or mask, or whatever so slap down a couple 20's to get. But what is cool is that you don't need to nor are forced to. It pretty much for show. Lag is bad in the towns though. In case the gamer out there are curious the website is www.gpotato.com. It takes like 3 hours to download and another 1 hour for updates. But pretty cool. Also, I don't feel bad about leaving for like a month and coming back to it because it isn't a life. It is just something to do for a few hours (Of which I have plenty of on the weekends since I have no transportation).
That will do for now.
Moving on. I plan to move out around the 1st of March. Money problems will be sort of resolved and sort of tight still. A positive with thorns
My Computer is up and running again. It was the power supply. Somehow, it shorted out. I blame the Hrdy sisters. I don't know how they did it, but I have speculations. Since none that can be proven, I can't charge them for it. Oh well, you won this round Hrdy sisters.
But you'll never guess what happen today. I final got offically signed off on a few things at work today. There was lots of cheering and congradulatory affection. Then they asked to go ahead and start creating RBC's.
"I can't."
"Why?"
"I don't have a login."
"WHAT? You mean you have been standing around for two weeks."
"Yup."
"Why?"
"Everyone I asked said they were looking into it or mentioned something about BiTS (new computer system at Red Cross) and how things take time cause it is brand new."
"I told Skip and Yolanta about that 2 weeks ago."
"I know, I was there."
"I can't believe this. We spent all that time trying to get you signed off and this we forget."
"Yup."
"Well, I guess all I can do is.....look into it."
"Yup."
"Sorry."
"Yup."
Not exactly for word but mostly. This is what I deal with, everyday. It no wonder I spend as much time as I can in the computer lab studing. Well, break's over.

I'll be brief
So I got sign off on, like, three things I could do in the lab Friday. Now I have to wait for the paperwork to go through so that the company recognizes I can do these things and gives me my passwords. Funny thing is that the other trainee got sign off on the same thing I did and heard back in the same day that she was allowed to do these things. So now she is productive while I still clean everyone's mess. I'm not pissed about (though I should be) because I having a difficult time of it lately and it is good to come here and little responisblity right now. Especailly since I am mostly studing for more things I will eventually be signed off on. And there is the fact that the other trainee has been here for a month longer than I and finally getting signed off at the same time as I. I have a feeling that their rushing me through because: 1. I'm that good; 2. they need night help; and 3. their gonna switch the entire system in a little over a month. The system is getting a complete over haul and they are just being sure that I know the basics.
On a lighter note, they interviewed this girl to be in the componet lab (I know cause everyone gets a tour of the lab). I hope she gets it...cute red-head and all :).
My hours changed, moving has been put on hold again, there messing with my paycheck (which is now corrected, we'll see if it truly is by saturday), My computer is still busted, I'm a mess, my room is a mess, my place is a mess. I can't wait for them to put on 4 10-hour shifts. Still don't own my car yet, doing a lot of waiting....
